I got my n55 straight piped fully and it sounds like a trumpet at high rpms almost like a Nissan 350z does that happen to you?

I wish I could remember, I haven’t owned this car for well over a year now, but to my knowledge mine never sounded like that. Not to try and plug another video but I have one where I took it out to rip through some canyons and I had the mic attached outside of the car, if you want a better idea for what mine sounded like at higher rpm’s, you can check that video out 👍🏼

I did not, only exhaust modification while I owned it were these valved mufflers, everything else was oem to my knowledge 👍🏼

Thank you! I’d highly recommend not getting this particular diffuser tho, this one fit like garbage, I’d advise to try to find one that’s a little pricier than the cheapest you can find, and see if that works better 👍🏼

All I ever did was change out the mufflers with valved ones, so essentially just a muffler delete when the valves were open 👍🏼

No, anything post catalytic converter(s), aka just anything installed after the last monitoring component in the exhaust, won’t affect smog. So you can install any muffler you want and it won’t change anything but your sound, it’s when you do mods like changing your catalytic converter(s) or tuning the car that affects smog. However, just be mindful of your local exhaust laws as some places can ticket you for just having a loud exhaust, whether or not it affects smog 👍🏼

And be mindful with muffler delete alone you’ll have a lot of drone especially with a straight pipe
