Thanks for the video! Enjoyed watching your drive and the little chat about your favorite restaurant. My 2009 X5 4.8i is giving this exact error. Surprisingly and coincidentally after I did my Valve cover job + the upper timing cover gaskets and oil thermostat gasket work. Initially, I thought if I forgot to latch that throttle body connector correctly or something, but after reading a lot of forums and your KZbin video, it seems to be the Harness and connector. Going to do this job next week before replacing any expensive parts like throttle body etc.. A side note, a $10 heat gun from amazon or eBay would have made your life easy with those shrink tubes. I used to use a hot soldering Iron tip to do that in the past, but the heat gun does a way better job and looks nice too.

I have a 08 550i with 140,000 miles. I just had the same issue happen to me, also at a Mcdonalds this morning on my way to work. Lol.. anyways you asked about the gas... mine gives me 26.5MPG ON FREEWAY AND 17.5 around the city. Stop and go. You need to upgrade all your coils with the BLACK UPDATED BOSCH & GET THE NGK IRIDIUM LASER SPARK PLUGS. THEN DROP A CAN OF SEAFOAM INTO GAS TANK AND YOU WILL SEE A BIG DIFFRENCE.

Than god I found your video, I’ve been trying to diagnose this ANNOYING problem for almost a year. My 550i is doing exactly the same thing… Changed the throttle body already on it. This will hopefully 🙏🏼 solve it.

Nice repair pal, 21ish is about accurate on my 650i. Nail it... less than 14mph, gentle cruise on freeway is about 32-34mpg

Did you try compressing your throttle down for 39 second in diagnostic mode see if that fixed it there's a reset for your tps

Hi my 2007 bmw 750li jus went bbn into limp mode moments right after parking a light popped on ssying recharge battery! Get this less than a hour befor a new battery was installed

How do you fix limp mode on 750i v12 95 model it taking of from 2nd gear slow take off and sometimes limits revs

Sorry, I don't have any experience with this model. Generally, when they go into transmission limp mode, the computer is sensing something is not normal and does this to prevent any further damage. Best thing to do is change the ATF and filter, with the correct fluid and make sure the level is correct. If this doesn't help, It will probably need to be rebuilt or replaced
