I was looking to get myself a touring machine for cheap, can't decide between Honda ST1100 or BMW R1100RT as they're priced the same

have you test ridden both? They should be equally good, so just a matter of taste. Id go for the one with lowest miles and best condition.

Ich fahre auch sowas, man kann das Motorrad auch gefühlvoll schalten , muss man nur etwas üben, dann rappelt das nicht oder eben nicht so stark. Kommt schlicht auf die Hände und den linken Fuß an.......Übung macht den Meister, dann halt das auch 300 000 km......

hello. It was my ABS cable that was broken at the time, which makes the light blink. Thanks for the comment

it's a feature, not a bug :D

That’s the sound of a Getrag gearbox. Not as smooth as a Japanese gearboxes, but very solid.
