very useful... can I ask what you think about this noise I'm getting on my K1200r 2006?... It sounds as if there was a problem with a bearing but at the BMW dealership they've torn the whole thing down and they found some wear on the crown exactly where the bearing sits. They've told me the crown needs to be replaced, which I sincerely doubt. They say the bearing is perfectly ok... Well, I'd like to hear another opinion... thx heaps

Replacing the main final drive bearing is not good enough. The reason the bearings fail is due to improper shim preload. If that issue is not rectified your bearing will fail again. The factory got the preload wrong. Your new bearing has been damaged just by the assembly process and may fail again. Your instructions and techniques are good and was used by the service department until someone actually identified the root cause.

Hola, soy de Chile y acá la mecánica es muy cara y la forma de abaratar costos es comprar los repuestos en forma particular, donde puedo encontrar las dimensiones de los rodamientos que lleva la BMW r 1150 gs del año 2000.. gracias
