BMW R1250 GS Adventure 22,500 Mile Review

After 19 months & 22,500 miles, how have I been getting on with my BMW R1250 GS Adventure?

Never thought I would succumb to owning a R1250 GSA , however now I have one I con't imagine not having one in my life. Love it.

Excellent update review. I bought a 2023 R 1250 GS last October. Could not possibly be happier. Switched from a Harley bagger (2018 Rode Glide Special) to this GS. I got the plain jane GS, with NO emergency 🆘 button, yea! At 11 months she’s @ 11,800 miles, just a weekender for me. My 12,000 mile service will cost me $1000 dollars 🤬. So she’s parked up for several weeks in order to save enough $’s.

I also had a similar battery issue with my R1250RT '20. Previous day 290 mile ride to Portsmouth, no issues. Following morning battery died in St Malo port. No signs of failure or issues., but less than 4 years for a battery, hmmm. Battery replaced at a BMW dealer, electrics checked, no issues found & no issues since. Battery is kept in charge when at home with Optimate Canbus.

Good vid, there’s just 38 1250 gsa left as of the 09/10/24 be quick they’ll be gone before Xmas . Love my 2024 gsa rallye . If yours doesn’t have heated seat make sure you bag one with it . I’m gonna check out the Michelin anarchy Road as was looking to switch from Bridgestone A41 to Road 6. Interestingly I get max 6k out of the front on last 3 GS and it’s looking similar on GSA. All 4 bikes running A41s. Finally I must nip up and try that forestry road , looks fun .

software update is now available, friend had his update 2 wks ago before riding through africa, update so far is still working

Had the official telematics module software update to “cure” the SOS issue when the bike was in for service a few weeks back. No more orange triangle, but now the Motorrad app won’t recognise the bike at all!😡 Made the mistake of using the IAM bike cleaner On my pimpin’ gold wheels and that dulled the finish. Never been able to restore the original shine. Deffo black wheels on the next one!😂

Can I ask how short your legs are. I’m 5foot 4 but 30 inch inside leg with boots on.
