Hello Sven, so the Tenere 700 and the Honda CB 500 X were not able to pull over your 💙🤍 heart to a 🇯🇵 one. And you're a real Bro to ride so many kilometers to pick-up your new Black Beauty. I hope your R 1300 GS has got the new and more mechanical starter solenoid installed already so that you don't need to go back to a BMW dealer so quickly again. Thanks 🥰 My bike is made May2nd, the starter issue affects only bikes made before March 18th. They are recalled for updates. I would certainly by a japanese bike again, veeeery reliable bikes. But this time I needed a comfortable bike for loong distance adventures, 95% asphalt. I think the GS will do a great job. Welcome back on holiday :-) Maybe I see you on the road !

R1200 has soft ESA that the 1250 and 1300 don’t have… love my 1200. Test rode the 1300 and was happy to get back on my magic carpet.

Thanks for your opinion. On R1300GS you may finetune the dampening in the riding modes Road, Dynamic and Enduro in 5 steps, -2 to +2 Did you try that when doing a testride ? With -2 the R1300GS fly like a "carpet" just what you like.

Fine bilder fra fjellheimen, mye beste som er dette:-) Har lett etter beskyttelse omkring motor på min Trophy, og har funnet at givi har de mest diskrée i sort? Har du fått vurdert noen alternativer? Det virker litt for sårbart å kjøre uten, selv om designet da er mere rent og pent!

Takk 🙂 Foreløpig har jeg ikke tenkt mye på motorbeskyttelse, men kanskje kjøper jeg kjøper noe til å beskytte sylinderhodene ved en velt. De fleste velt er i lav fart eller fra stillestående så bøyler blir litt "overkill". Jeg også ønsker noe diskret. Venter på at MachineArt Moto kommer med X-Heads til R1300 så vil jeg se om de er pene. Jeg skal ikke ut på offroad med den sykkelen. Men noen grusveger blir det nok.

I have not checked that, but it was put together 2. May this year. Usually recalls are fixed on new stock bikes before sold. Thanks 🙂

Now I have checked: "Around 25,000 units worldwide produced between July 14th, 2023 - March 18th, 2024 are potentially affected." So not mine....after March 18th all new produced bikes has no issues with the relay problem.

Amazing bike Sven. Two questions if u can help me: 1 - i think you had a puig tall screen in your r1200gs. What s you opinion campare to stock screen of r1300gs. 2 - whats your opinin in the new seat r1300fs compare to the old one. Thanks.

The stock windshields are quite similar, which means not adequate as with all bikes I have owned....the R1300 seat is firmer, mine has the comfort seat, and as such I had expected it to be even more comfortabel.... but its brand new....

I bought a pre-configured bike with the packages: Touring, Dynamic, Innovation + Theft Alarm + LED additional lights + Seat heating + DSA adaptive ride height. ASA was not available on the 24 model but will be on the 2025.
