I just bought a 2002 BMW 745Li and I couldn't figure out how a puddle of water would get on the passenger side floor, so I followed your video and now it's just fine! Thank you Sir!

Thank you for this - I've struggled to find the drain holes you've shown. Tricky clip business a pain but I now have no blockages and next time it rains I hope no wet carpet. Stephen 745i, B'ham UK

VERY Helpful. We became 2001 BMW 740il owners just over 1 year now. We experienced a whole lot of issues all of a sudden in the early summer with water sloshing/bubbling sound when the AC was put on and the floors got soaked. Our mechanic, whom we bought the car from, pulled back the carpets and everything. He couldn't figure it out worth his life. We were forced to either not use the AC or use the wet vac to extract all the water on the driver and passenger side floor. NOW, in the winter we have experienced the blower having a mind of its own with the heater and defroster. The inside of the car windshield freezes up and I am forced to use the scraper to be rid of frost. ADDITIONALLY, we have seen a consistent stream of fluid running down the driveway when parking the car and assumed that it was a really bad oil/fuel leak. Perhaps it is actually the water problem you were mentioning as a chronic problem for 7 series. As soon as I am able, I will definitely try out your suggestions rather than consistently bothering the mechanic over these stupid issues!!

I try my best to stay away from the (stealership). I'm glad to see that after all this time someone can still use this video for help.

I had the same issue at first. I found that if you just line the clip up then use something to tap down on it. Mine popped back into place. Hope this helps.

great set of videos. That retaining clip took me an hour to get back on. Otherwise this was easy. Any thoughts on how to get it back on more easily?
