Rick the BMW looks amazing and he is going to love the self cleaning attributes of this coating. This coating is different than any other coating I have installed as the paint feels butter soft even after a month of driving without a wash. You can drive through a rain storm and the car looks dry and clean after you drive through and only the rear will show any signs of being dirty. As always your production was first class and I will be looking forward to update videos on this car. Thank you for the great video.

Hi Rick🖐 Great start to a summer full of more Rad videos. With school out more time for you to create very interesting content. I have a question, how do you know when polishing that you have removed all of the old ceramic coating? I haven’t had to do that yet to one of my vehicles and I am curious to find out what you see or feel when you have first reached the original paint. How important is it to make sure all of the old stuff is removed so that the new ceramic coating will bond properly? Cheers!!.. 😎
@RADGarage8 ай бұрын
That is the million dollar question my friend. Because the paint on this X5 had some very minor swirls to correct, I just assumed that by eliminating the swirls in the paint, I MUST have penetrated the layer of residual coating. So, I just ensured I had fully corrected every square inch of the exterior and went off the theory that the coating must have been removed for me to make my way to the clear coat. I hope that makes sense. If there were no swirls to correct, I think I would just go at it and trust my gut that I had removed the coating. If you don't get that micro layer of coating off, I think it would impede the new coating's ability to bond with the paint so it is an important question.

Why we use the short throw machine to apply the APP ''Adhesion Promoter Polish’’ C6 Ceramics ? kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX20q4OqoJhmgrc
@RADGarage8 ай бұрын
The C6 APP is best spread using a very low throw DA such as a palm sander. I’m not sure what the scientific reasoning is, but as a teacher, I tend to follow all rules! I think it worked out well and I’m glad I was able to find such a sander at a really good price. I think I paid $45.
