Great review. I owned a 2021 M550i for 2 years and needed a slightly larger daily. I did not like the new X7 styling, but loved the interior and tech upgrades. I decided to order a 2024 X5 50E. I am not sure if you are familiar with the platform, it has a B58 ICE and a 27 kw/h battery good for 46 miles on EV range. I literally do not miss the V8 because combined output is 489HP and 518 lb/ft of torque. (They are the only variant of X5's that come with Air Suspension) Very plush but direct ride and steering feel. I really considered a 2022 X7 M50i but wanted to experience electric daily driver without fully committing to an EV. It's been over 2,000 miles and I am still on my first tank of fuel that came from the factory lol. If you get a chance, test drive the X5 50e, and respond with a Video please.

Planning to get one of these probably in few months. Would you recommend getting an extended warranty if let’s say the car that I’m getting is around 30k-50k miles?

Just picked up one of these the other day. I agree I don’t like the new look with the split head lights. I am out of warranty so I am going with an oil catch can and water methanol injection. And an oil bypass system. The b58 is amazing engine. with a few bolt ons and tune we can get near 500 at the crank. But the only thing my car didn’t come with tow package or radar. I am looking at retrofitting a few things and those on my x7. Enjoying the videos on the car.

Can you introduce your wireless charging pads? Are they dual phone charging? The factory one is horizontal and only offers a single phone charging.

Nice video - You should be able to use one of your 1-8 memory buttons to sync your climate systems. I did it for the driver and passenger sides of my X5 and it works great when I’m in the car alone vs when my wife is with me. If it doesn’t work for all zones hopefully a memory button could at least be a shortcut to the climate page.

Just say synchronize hvac works too.

You made a great choice... I agree with blacking out those parts - something i wouldnt normally say.. Note that hatch wouldn't close on the Home Depot box but even this vehicle couldn't swallow everything.. Yes hang the sportiness as the comfort for the family and longer trips make it a very pleasant place to be.... You are well experienced in fixing things so your running costs will be lower than the average person...

I believe getting a certified used x7 for 50k is best since it looses 50 percent of the value in 3 years when purchased new.

$50k? It starts at €146k in The Netherlands. Cars are so expensive here, all kinds of taxes on top each other.

He gave a price without tax, but yes taxes in the US are significlty easier and smaller
