BMW Z3 2.8L ASC Delete. How to remove the ASC Throttle Body

pretty sure there is a button in the interior that allows you to turn off ASC. I would know because I have a z3 2.8.

There is but the whole assembly restricts the intake at high rpms

But how do you remove the asc light?

This gonna sound stupid but surely you can just take the cable of the runner so it no longer actuates and that shouldnt cause an error because the cable will still pull when it needs to it just wont actually do anything ?

Technically you can just unplug it but its still a restriction of airflow by design.

You said a 10 ohm 1 amp resistor? Isnt 1 apm 120 watts? Been trying to look these up on Amazon. Did you mean 10 ohm 1 watt resistor?

sorry, thumbs down for me, you never really explained why we should get rid of this. Saying its bad or annoying doesn't tell us much, you need to describe what the driver experiences while driving so we get an idea.

he did explain that the asc throttle body was much more restrictive and restricts power in the higher rpm and if you drove with any kind of pep you would know that you don't wan't computer safety features hindering your power or changing the feel of the car as you go... most people who would be looking to remove this would already know that and wouldn't need an explanation of why. Also on top of all of that the asc ties into the traction control and abs and can cause problems if it gets faulty happened in my z3 2.3
