Great video, Thanks, I was just curious as I see you have several upgrades. Why did you not go with a dual cone intakes over the stock air boxes.

I did have a different intake system in my car for awhile but swapped back due to cold start running slightly rough. I may go with an Eventuri one of these days

Thanks for this video! I used it to install my inlet (MST… no instructions with product). Do you know what the couplers are for? Doesn’t seem to fit anywhere. Also, the rear inlet looks like a nightmare of an install which looks like it requires to be installed below by removing the downpipes. Will report back or post my install in the f80 forums. Anyway thanks again!

Honestly not sure on the couplers other than for maybe different turbos.

Hey there!! I was just wondering prior to you getting your upgraded turbos, how was the turbo blanket from Funkmotorsport? In your opinion having installed it 10 months ago (when your video released) did it genuinely help keep temps down? Did you run into any issues with the stock turbo with the blanket on? Keep up the great work man, I love your videos

No issues with it installed, though with making so many changes so rapidly it was hard to tell if temps came down more than a few degrees. I can easily see them as a good idea though, and extra protection for your overall build.

@@BMWDIYGuy great to hear! Aside from noticing (if any) temp drops, were you able to push the car to the limit often without heat soak? Not like the car heatsoaks easily stock, but could you feel a difference? I imagine there would of been maybe the slightest improvement in responsiveness too? I’ve just made an order those these, hoping they do well

Any chance someone has the part number for the turbo inlet 10mm nut? I would like to be prepared in the event I drop and loose one of these 😅

I cannot get the 10mm bolts off for the life of me. The wrench has about no room at all to even fit on the nut with the hose still on ? I don’t understand how it’s even possible without going from underneath? Can you please help me figure this out

All the tools I used are in the video description, but it was a flex head ratcheting wrench if I remember

Hey did you not do the rear turbo?
@BMWDIYGuy Жыл бұрын
No and mentioned that in the video.. there is a slightly off angle with this rear inlet and the mosselman turbos. I decided to leave it off
