BMW CLICKS BUT WILL NOT START NO CRANK NO START ISSUE SOLVED!!

HEY BMW DOCTOR ! NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE ! New BMW owner on a clean 2007 BMW 750li, but in less then a year I've replaced the valve cover gaskets, sparkplugs & coil, alternator, alternator bracket gasket, transmission filter and gasket and New battery. The Car has always had a slow start since the day I got it...a bit less then a year ago and finally last 2 days it wouldn't start until I pressed the push start like twice to start, slow crank but turned on as usual. Been hearing a like bearing or whine last week or so also. Stopped at pump yesterday and car won't turn back on. Towed it back, car won't crank at all, all power and functions are there but won't crank At all. Checked all fuses and found the starter fuse blown under the passenger side glove compartment. Changed fuse and still won't crank. I know there can be tests done etc, but would it be safe to safe it is most likely the starter? Thank you tons my friend!!!!

I'm confused, isn't the starter solenoid bolted on top of the starter motor and therefore when you replace the starter assembly it will also renew the solenoid? Not sure what this video is trying to tell us.

New subscriber here: I have a 2010 BMW 328I X Dr. when I was buying a car. The owner was driving it to the spot to meet at and it died so we tried to jump, but it didn’t work and then I bought a battery I got it started and I drove about a half mile and the car died. I had it towed home, put a new starter in it new alternator, and a new battery and it was hard starting and it didn’t start so I took the serpentine belt off, put oil in the pistons cause it was hard to turn it first and then I finally got it moving easily and I tried to start it and it cranked over then stopped and then it locked and made something with jammed in it and I couldn’t even turn it with the serpentine belt off so I took a couple spark plugs out. I gotta push in again and then tried starting it with a couple spark plugs out had it started for a second and then shut it off put the plugs back in start it up it wouldn’t kick over but then it locked again. I took the serpentine belt belt off tried to turn it, but it’s jammed lock think the time and chain jumped. It could be something worse. I replaced The oil in the beginning and there was like almost 2 gallons of oil in it. I drained it and put the six 6 1/2 back in thought it might be pressure locked, but I still think it might be time and chain jumped. I took a gamble on it and paid the guy two grand for the vehicle the interior, beautiful the outside immaculate thank you for your time 3:49

I've noticed after changing the start motor it turns over quicker and now the ticking noise is not there anymore! The original starter was working fine BUT the bushes were getting worn...so there you go

On some platforms the integrated supply module causes the no crank no start issue as well. I always change them on n62 cars since they are cheap

Hi Dean I resintly had this problem with my e53 it has the original starter still on so I thought just replace the full thing now starts immediately problem can be with auto you carnt tow it .

Wish you were around Connecticut my 535xi will crank all day and not start. Fuel pump working with good pressure.had some rodent damage on the DME wiring. But all fixed. I would start on starting fluid but that stopped.i can hear the pump. Cleaned the dme connector and dme pins. Checked all fuses also. Help

Greetings brother 👋 been watching u for awhile now, n also did some repairs on my e53 x5 too. Much thanks to all of ur vid. But i still got a big prob abt my ac unit. Been running the car without cold ac for a good year now n seriously it was a hell of a ride in thre😂 hot af☠️ the main problem is my ac wont blow any cold air, only super hot air eventho the front panel set to 16°C. Nothing happened n changed, still blowing hot air. Did go to a local ac re gas, only worked abt 2 days n its hot again. Alr checked all the major stuff abt it. No leaks or anything. Any suggestions? Probably a cheap one tho😅 wasted way too much time n money on it

I replaced the starter in my sisters BMW. It worked fine for 2 days then stopped. However, i hear the bendix spinning when pressing the start button. Problem is that the bendix no longer kicks out to engage the ring gear to spin the flywheel. Thats still part of the solenoid's function. Its just disconcerting to think im goiñg to have to take all the top end apert to get to that dumb starter location on top and to the rear of the engine.

Hi, a few years ago I just got that issue, in my e84 with n52 but I replace the full star motor and I fix my problem, I’m still had the old star motor I will check

Drove the wife and I out to for dinner. Came back, no start no crank, no click. Super frustrating. AAA brought the car back to my house, replaced the whole starter assembly - since the stupid solenoid is attached as one piece, and it now works again. What a sh*t design, thanks BMW.

My 2013 bmw 550i … n63 and it had a bad fuel injection so I replaced it and it drove amazing for a good week but it was 100+ that week then on Friday I turn it off for a good 2 hours and it doesn’t want to start back up. I replaced the starter and same response. It’s in a shop right now and they are saying it has to be the engine but they don’t know what the issue is, no codes since I got the injector replaced and still no codes just ignition malfunction on the screen.

You say to check that right away well do u know where the starter motor is on a N55 motor not happy Jan 😅😅. What a stupid place for a starter honest have to remove intake manifold what a joke. But seems this problem is what I have right now

I have 2005 530i n52, durning summer time ring runs just fun, start right up but once it start getting cold car cracks but no start. Dont recall what codes come on...will have to check once the issue reoccur.

My F11 535d has not been starting after a few days, it makes a clicking sound then shows up starter alert up, If I but a starter back on and try again it clicks and starts fine and workers all day,

My E83 x3 suffers this when the temp is 25o c .starts first thing but after 30 min drive ,it will not restart ,all lights but no start .scanned with ista ,no codes 😢leave for 20-30min restarts

Hi guys, I have. BMW x5 G05 and had been experiencing same issues. (Codes 211619 and 21A511) called BMW dealer and explained. I was willing to just invest $200 for a diagnosis and just fix it on my own if need be. But it results my model has a recall for the starter. Apparently the starter motor over heats and causes this no crank no start. The fix is just a software upgrade. Hopefully this will fix my issue. Hope it can help anyone before you start replacing parts. I would just invest in a diagnostic charge at the dealer and if you think it's cheaper to fix it yourself then go ahead. I feel a diagnosis at the dealer can solve a lot of guessing just take it to the dealer for a diagnostic for me since I have no extended warranty.

My 2004 e60 doesn't have that fuse part on the starter and I have a no crank no start after it fell off the factory floor jack.

I changed the water pump gaskets plus and wires new battery new starter new alternator and now it’s just clicking and not turning over before I changed the starter and alternator it was turning over what could cause this I have a 2010 328i convertible

It could be your ground wire, a starter clicking but not starting is common when your ground wire is faulty

This doesn’t make sense though. If the solenoid is what’s bad, when you buy a new starter, it comes with a solenoid. So if a new solenoid and starter still doesn’t start the car, then how can the old solenoid be the problem? 😂😂😂
