I have the same 328i 2011 but mine Is stuck and it won't open with the button switch... I don't have the door in the middle and mine doesn't have a key slot!!! 😭

How did you do the replacement of air filter amd big box can it be done on mine ? And besides looking good what are the benefits? Will this affects any emissions warranty or smoke checks, am here in California

2011 535 xDrive. Took battery out and without thinking closed trunk. No back key slot, no winter ski pouch. Tried jumping no luck. I assume because there is no battery to complete the connection. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tom

How would you do this for a bmw 320 cabriolet? It doesn't have a key slot by the boot and doesnt have the backseat access to the boot. Jumpstart is not an option. Please help.

OK so how do you get in to a 218d m sport. The boot won't open car has power. Boot button just spins. No rear access from the back seats. No key hole for the boot either. Do I have to rip the back seats out.

My 335is does not have the key hole and there is a locking wall in the trunk through the ski hole. I think it is becuase it is a hard top convertable. I have a portable jump start if it happens at home and if abroad i guess jumper cables to the rescue.

That is exactly my predicament. I don't have the keyhole and there is a panel in the back seat entrance. In my case the battery power is good. Don't know what else to do.

This is for old 3 series , I have a 5 series but my problem is that unlocked my trunk using the remote and left the keys inside the trunk. Means my alarm security system is been on since it’s been locked , now I’m FKD , even if I opened the front door with a wire and my alarm went off the alarm system is still active leaving me with NO ACCESS TO OPEN MY TRUNK . This 5 series doesn’t have folding rear seats nor the middle compartment to enter the trunk . I don’t know what to do now , any suggestions please let me know .

Take apart the rear seat like I'm about to! I had a moment of hope that I MIGHT have a keyhole back there that I never noticed, but NOPE.

So in the front in the passage area inside the car , you remove that part and there are cables that open the trunk. Why this information was not online ???? That is what the expert from BMW did and the trunk opened even when there was no battery and the trunk was locked in this 328i 2010 bmw. I wish someone would have mention this method .

Perhaps one good method is to hook a wire to the internal handle and thread it somehow and hide it around the back seats. So if the sh*t hits the fan grab the wire with pliers and pull. Voila!

@@tonbon1123 I had to pull out the back seat and drill a hole. I then used a broom handle to pull the trunk release. Legitimately the only way. BMW had no other suggestion. Pretty terrible design.

Awe man I clicked on this video thinking u found a way for the trunk to pop all the way up by itself. One of the worst part of the 335i IMO. Why have A grocery getter without a pop up trunk. U have to lift it up each time manually. Not very "luxury Carish". Even my 10' SHO had that option and it was a ford

Me too! I understand you can use 750I struts that have springs on them to get it to pop up but I am not certain about it.

Scott S Not on the e9x’s, but F10 models have it to use on the remote. When I swapped in new trunk struts it did help a ton with opening all the way when I slightly lifted up on the handle

It will lock if you open the passenger door, get in the driver's seat and close your door, pushing down on the lock, then slide over to passenger side, exit through open door and lock it, then shut it. Your car is now locked.

I gotta 335is there's no key hole:/ I disconnected the battery about 15 minutes later it started to sprinkle so I closed the trunk the battery is disconnected and I don't have a keyhole in my BMW 335is even worse I connected the jumper cables to the front of the car and no power still. Normally you can hook up jumper cables under the hood and you'll get a little power but in this case with the battery for a disconnected I get absolutely zero power not even enough to Pop the trunk
