בניית שולחן פסיפס creating a Mosaic Table

צילמנו את שלבי בניית שולחן מפסיפס. התהליך עצמו נמשך כמה שבועות. השתמשנו באבני פסיפס, בטבעת ברזל גדולה מסביב. מלט וחול ים, משחת מילוי סדקים: רובה, צבע.
We filmed the creating of a Mosaic Table.
Its took several weeks.
We used the tesserae, a large iron ring around.
Cement and sand, cream filling cracks and color.

1. יחס חול למלט: לפחות 1/3 מלט עדיף אפילו 1/2 מלט. בנוסף לכך חשוב מאד שהכל ייתיבש מספיק ימים (לפחות 5-7 ימים). יחס מלט קטן מידי או זמן ייבוש קצר מידי יגרמו לסדקים ואפילו לשבירת היציקה. אני מעדיף שהמלט יהיה קצת נוזלי, זה גורם לו לחלחל לכל הפינות 2. האבנים לא ניתקות מהנייר גם כי הדבק קצת מחזיק אותם וגם כי האבנים לידם לא נותנות להם לזוז. שימי לב שבקצוות, ליד הברזל, כן זזו האבנים, החזרנו אותם למקומם. אגב, הדבק גם מונע מהמלט הנוזלי להדבק על הצד הקדמי וללכלך אותו. 3. השתמשנו בדבק פלסטי מדולל במים. דבק קמח ומים פחות חזק אבל עדין אפשרי.

hello, did you mean using sand avoids the cement to get the bottom and leak beneath the tesserae covering and staining them? how many mlimeteres thinckness has to be the layer of sand? I think part of it will become one with the cement once the water get the bottom. greetings from Ecuador

1- The sand we put (see in the clip at time: 1:32 - 1:58) save the space between the stones. After few days, when the cement is dray, we take out the sand and free its place (see at time: 4:21 - 4:28). Then we fill thin layer of colored cement (see at 4:29 - 4:58) 2- The sand we put can be 1-2 milimeter thin, but its not important because we take it out later. Its important that the sand will be between the stones and not on the stones. We need good tuch between the cement and the stones. the sand can hindrance that tuch. 3- The sand not connect to the cement if we dont mix them manualy.

Roni Tauber thanks for your replying, since I don´t read your writen language had to figure it out, very welltimed watching to your video yesterday cause at the afternoon i had troubles with a table I´ve just made. I would like, if you don´t mind, to get your email to send some pics and get into an info exchange since I also make some mosaic tables -I´m very new on it- different design and materials but, same process could be applied. שלום, רציתי לדעת מה יחס המלט: חול: מים ביציקה. ועוד שאלה: האם האבנים לא ניתקות מהנייר לפני היציקה?- תערובת המים +קמח היא לא כל כך חזקה..

הרגלים לא חוברו. השולחן מונח עלים סתם, הוא יציב מאחר והוא כבד מאד. כ 40 קג של יציקת מלט. שני אנשים יכולים להרים את המשטח. את הרגלים בנינו כך שאפשר לקפל אותם.
