Great vocals. I love how he graciously thanked the crowd in the middle of the song. This was a few days after the Idol finale in 2005.

I am a big fan of Dobie Gray and BO Bice. They both have terrific and amazing voices which emit nothing but soul. Drift Away is one of my all time favorite songs. Yes Dobie's version was the one that set the standard and Bo as far I'm concerned followed that standard. Great version from a very talented singer. Thank you for the upload.

Bo has now put up his indie label Sugarmoney. Has released new cd last October - it's called See The Light. Available excl at Wal-mart. Bo has own channel here in youtbe called Bobicecast where he talks about his past two yrs including health issues and previous cd. Check these out to know more about Bo. It's in six parts.

Why hate? take a look at the soul of this man.. just step aside and let him pass if you don't care for his essence and passion for the music he sings. You don't have to like him or his music, but as one person to another.. Anyone that has the courage to step out of the norm and follow their heart and passion deserves some respect for rising and following their dreams. Doesn't matter to me what type of artist, creation is what makes our cultures thrive with a heartbeat that stirs the soul.

Yeah, Steveo. I agree the man isn't Dobie Gray, but that's cool. The difference between an artist and a karaoke singer is that an artist creates something new. Dobie was a legend, but Bo here did a good job making it something new. I don't really know Bo, but I liked the song.

Bo Bice will be singing at Club Inferno in Scottsboro Alabama in sept. I don't think he was trying to sing "better" than dobie gray as much as he was just singing a song he liked. you go sing a song you like. if it sounds better than this I will actually listen to your comments. but as of now, you jus seem jealous that you cant come close to bo or dobie.

you know what im sick of is coming down to the comments and none of them being relative in any shape or form to the video. why don't some of you ignorant people just shutup about whatever your arguing about on here and just say something about your opinion on the song and leave. it's really that easy. i for one thought it was a really great performance so im going to say something like "great vid! 5 stars!" easy.
