Boa Vista is the capital of early childhood in Brazil. In 2012 it began prioritising early childhood, developing programmes like Família que Acolhe (Family Welcoming). But in 2016 it expanded this vision further - bringing childhood into the streets and public spaces of the city with the Urban95 programme, in partnership with the Van Leer Foundation.
This short clip highlights the visionary leadership behind these changes and the personal experiences of mothers, showing how Boa Vista is a place where every family feels embraced by the city. From playful parks to family-friendly streets, Boa Vista encourages families to create lasting memories together.
