I absolutely laughed out load when you all did the whale noises..... that was so so funny! I think if I had been playing I would have been torn between accusing Dave or Aaron of being the traitor lol. BUT I would have taken Lincolns side as He knows both the best from long association lol.

It was fun, specially that my top 5 favourites are there, original 4 and Debra, the 6th guy was fun too. But, I was stunned that you guys didn't even recall Belratti until the very end, for me it was the very first game popped in my head, it's very similar, but alot simpler, but it has the mechanism of changing role as Debra wanted. Some games I don't like much but I kinda got into it because of you guys, realistic, natural, fun, and friendly competition, not just for the show. 👍

In the next to last round (after the traitor was revealed) you guys were discussing the hints before the traitor chose the misleading clues, thereby maybe leading that person to pick cards that reflected what you were thinking? Regardless, fun to see Deborah and Aaron again -- and definitely fun seeing you not listen to Lincoln!!!

Mayhaps the beginning was unclear, but on the last round/room, I interpreted that the wizards could not communicate at all, and thus shouldn't have been able to discuss the clues on the options, etc. Having said: this looks awesome, and was another great video with fun guests. Here is a thing i came up with, cant say if it makes sense as i havent tried yet: Either do the fingers thing or get Nr. 1-7 tokens for every player and put them in front of them. You can figure out something cool, theme wise or just buy some regular numbered tokens or whatever. Also get some earmuffs for everyone - when they need to close their eyes: 5 seconds-10 seconds after demanding everyone has to close their eyes the traitor opens his/hers. then he gets to pick his places by pointing with his finger on a number in front of him / by showing the actual number with their fingers...whatever you like. If you dont want to play with earmuffs you could actually start some theme wise loud music (as loud as u can do wherever you live) and turn it off after everyone opened their eyes. now here is my biggest issue with the game: the ability of seeing. not everyone can see quite well, and that is why people possibly want to keep the book with the different places in their hand or rather only use the book for the timer and put the different places face down somewhere. lay them out later, where the traitor would see it, i guess somewhere on the board itself. also you shouldnt sit very next to each other (shoulder on shoulder) because you will notice movements.

@scottjacoby25945 жыл бұрын
I think the traitor is necessary to guarantee (well nearly guarantee...he traitor could have very bad cards to choose from) that there will be at least 1 or 2 cards similar enough doors to split the voting. Without the traitor, every round will be completely random and more likely that the correct door will be obvious.
@danteshydratshirt23605 жыл бұрын
yes to me the traitor element seemed necessary but it was weird that the traitor only knows partial information as to what they added and not the actual correct picture/clue
@scottjacoby25945 жыл бұрын
dante ferno yeah, i think to make the traitor more effective, have the traitor know the correct door, choose 1, 2, or 3 similar looking cards without knowing the clues, the clue giver prides the clues not knowing what cards the traitor picked, and then the clues are revealed to everyone.

I find that time is essential in many hidden traitor games. The longer people have to talk through things, the more likely they are to find the bad guy. For instance, the forums for Deception: Murder In Hong Kong are filled with people who don't keep up the pace on the rounds complaining that the game is too hard for the murderer. But, taking the traitor out of this game wouldn't be the worst thing.

@Therisktaker34 жыл бұрын
Great playthru as always. I think the game is interesting, but agree that it may be too brutal. Either remove the traps or the traitor, but don’t keep both. This is like deception murder at Hong Kong, meets Dixie, meets mysterium. With so many people I think the game becomes harder because there are too many opinions and it can really splinter the game. I would like to see how this would play out with less people. I would definitely house rule the game to make it more enjoyable without being crushingly difficult. Thanks again.

SPOILERS: On the last round even if you there had been a split of 3 to 1 on the doors then the only way to win would have been if the door with 3 on was correct....I think. If the door with 1 on was correct then 3 tokens are lost and it's game over which forces you all to pick one door. So therefore both of the last 2 rounds needed to be unanimous in a way. Great game, but looks difficult!

This seems like a fun game, and the artwork is nice, but there's a reason I'm not sure I'd buy it for my family. With only 4 players, half your players are not really working towards a win. I get that the "book" player is trying to help, but I feel that would rely upon a decent knowledge of the players. In other words, knowing what clues would be most useful to the players, how they think. We have some "abstract" thinkers in our house, and while I don't think they'd actively try to sabotage the game, the things they would consider good clues might not be as "useful" to the other players. Also, I'd be curious to know how this works with only 2 players.

The traitor aspect seems tacked on. Dave had to make little to no effort to fool them, and sometimes he just played a round completely blind. I feel like I'd house rule it to where the traitor knows the correct door each round. Otherwise I just don't see how people could consistently deduce who's leading the group astray, since the traitor doesn't have perfect knowledge anyways; at that point anyone might as well be the traitor (as Aaron was the most harmful to the group in this session).
