baddogone42 I don't like to share this band with my friends. It's something personal to me, you know? I don't think they'll really hear it the way do. It's not just "electronic" music. All tracks hold a memory. Even if that memory does not belong to you. Each track holds some kind of experience. It's special to me. Revealing these tunes to my friends is almost like revealing a secret I guess. Idk. Maybe that's just me.

I dunno what it is. It's gloomy and mysterious at the same time. It reminds me of outer space for some reason. Like if someone were way out in deep space trying to communicate with someone via a transmission that might not make it. I also think of a city made of charred concrete and melted glass. After a nuclear strike.

I ended up ripping this exact version as the actual track at the end of the album.... there is something a little more unnerving and cinematic with the static at the beginning and throughout... for me it really made the ending all that more bleak and rewarding for me. I also added the Cosecha Number Station loops throughout. My favorite album of all time. This is the album I always wanted and imagined from them. It’s like Geogaddi pt. 2 as well as Side B to Campfire Headphase.... the exact opposite. Like Yin/Yang. This track feels like Terminator

While at my stay in Amsterdam last December, I decided to pay a visit to a record store. The first album I spotted was Music Has the Right to Children in all its glory, and I immediately picked it up and bought it. However, it was only until today that I finally decided to play the album for the first time. It's like something told me that I needed to listen to BoC. And to my surprise, moments later I find out that a new album was announced just 2 days ago. What a beautiful coincidence, huh? :)

But with the endless expansion of KZbin it's becoming even easier discovering new music. Some music is over 30 years old and remains practically undiscovered. But of course, only give money to the bands that deserve it, ones that you know put a lot of work into the production and don't rely on someone else to write the music for them.

I've been a BoC fan for years and years and I love their work, but this piece sounds too grimdark and negative for my liking. Where are the warm and and nostalgic and inspiring tones? I should be wanting to listen to this track again and again, just like Sixtyniner, but I really wouldn't care if I never listened to this track again. Disappointing taste of Tomorrow's Harvest. I hope this is the weakest track on there, and they've only put it forward in an attempt to shatter expectations and hype?

If science fiction tells us anything about the future, it says that our concerns today are trivial. Peak Oil is one example. In the future, oil will be completely abandoned for extremely abundant sources of energy. Today I read about a new type of CCD that is 1000x more sensitive, uses 10x less energy and is 5x cheaper to produce. Man is not moving at the speed of the slowest thinkers. Everything that can be invented has not yet been invented. Bitcoin is one example of a new technology.

Many of the fakes are so good, so BOC, I have difficulties to threat them as fakes by unknown when I also know many have tried to copy them with no avail ... Visual Drone 12 is awesome. yeah like "the devil's in the details," the notes are 666 playing over and over again. it's all very conceptual, like decaying memories, gathering dust, saturated in mold and filtered through an old tape recorder playing in an abandoned ruin of a home in the middle of the forest, where you used to live as a child. it's a apparition of the past, reminding you of that blissful childhood ignorance you can't have back, and the things done to you that you'd rather forget.

yeah I disagree. For me personally, if I already had the free download I'll only still buy the album if it's from one of my absolute fave musicians (i.e. top 5 musicians). Thinking about it, I've downloaded thousands of albums yet I've only ever purchased about 100 albums during my entire life (and I'm a hardcore music fan & musician myself). Everyone is different of course & I don't download albums anymore but I find it hard to believe an album leaking will somehow generate more sales lol.

The title seems like an obvious reference to the old adage, "You reap what you sow", especially with the songs about seeds and such on the album...seems like a vaguely political dig at humanity's current trajectory, and the (perhaps cataclysmic) consequences of rampant pollution, population growth, economic dysfunction, general apathy, -Insert modern crisis here-. Very cool--seems like, along with The Knife's "Shaking the Habitual", this is a good year for socially conscious indie music.

I'll proposition it this way instead: an album leaking won't hurt sales. The people that download, download anyway, the people that buy buy anyway. People downloading the album might find they love it and buy it after hearing it. People won't not buy it if it leaks a month early. Those guys want their BoC vinyl and shit. I want my vinyl. I collect vinyl.
@SleepCyclesMusic
@SleepCyclesMusic 11 жыл бұрын
That technically isn't true, at all. People still buy music regardless of the date an album leaks. In fact, I'd bet on an album leaking generating more sales. The buyers were buying it whether it leaked a month and a half before, a day before or not at all. The people that download it will do the same with downloading.

Who really cares if he used "indie" correctly or not? I think he used "indie" as in "alt" or "non-mainstream". Whatever, it doesn't matter. Looks like he actually cares about the content of the music rather than the terminology of it. More people should focus on the content instead of trying to show off their specific knowledge of genres.
