@@anthonyvigil7567 Jimmy was one of my favorite characters at first but Michael Pitt's performance became too wooden as his time on the series went on. It felt like either he or the writers stopped trying to develop the character or he stopped caring. Based on how the rest of the main cast characters developed over the series I'm inclined to believe it was the latter.

@@mastod0n1 that’s kinda the point though, he says repeatedly that he’d set a moral line, then crossed it. First time he killed a man he vomited for two days. He was a zombie walking, there was no development: he threw heavy into a world with an in, and died.

The actor was a piece of shit. They couldnt even get him to remember simple lines, would have to reshoot the same scenes a lot. He came in coked up constantly, IF he came in. Anyway it's a shame but he turned a good opportunity into a reason to fuck his life up.

I like that the statue he is standing in front of depicts Temperance, which is not a person or a figure, but rather a virtue, or something to live by. Temperance means to be calm, patient, self-controlled, to take the middle road. Jimmy often tries to demonstrate temperance by not resorting to violence as quickly as others; he prefers to talk civilly, rather than threaten. He only uses violence if he has no other choice.

Well anyway, I was confronted with a situation where I had to display temperance, and I passed with flying colors.

james darmody I'm the asshole who responds to a six year old comment. It wasn't so much smooth and seamless as it was seizing the initiative with sheer aggression and violence of action. These guys weren't hardened killers or focused professionals. It never crossed their mind someone would buck with a gun pointed at them. They'd never run into a wolf before. To a seasoned eye, it's easy to spot someone who has a weapon to use as a violent threat vs someone who is a violent threat and has a weapon. That's what a lot of people don't realize about veterans or people with a history of violence, they're not gonna fight straight up and toe to toe for pride. They're looking to devastate and kill. Jimmy saw an opportunity and jumped on it. Separate the targets, small talk and confusion to break focus then move. Neutralize the gun first and foremost. The rest will come together as you have the momentum, initiative, weapon and dominant physical position.

@ViceCityVacation Well I know people like Jimmy he was a cool character but you have to admit he was sociopathic. But yeah that whole scene was unnerving not because Nucky killed him but because Jimmy was so damn calm about it. Honestly if Jimmy had wanted to keep living he could have likely killed all of them if he so pleased. As Harrow would have sniped a few heads so to speak but despite him being dead I see his shadow still haunting the series and Nucky.
