Hi Bill, a really interesting turn around Boat Cove, thanks Andy for the history. It's amazing how much the cygnets have grown. You aren't sneaking down to Dawlish on the quiet to feed them are you Bill? 😂😂😂 See you tomorrow mate. 👍👍👍

Thank you bill and andy I've learnt alot about dawlish today I didn't know it was a fishing town. Enjoyable video. If I may though can I correct bill gays creamery never hides that is the issue 😂, ahh bill I would have been over that brook like a duck. Buying a lamb and mint pasty and a small tub of ice cream.

I’ve had to do my best to avoid it. I’m going in for my Christmas beer, they always support local Breweries…sounds bad 😂
@chucky231617 күн бұрын
Yep lads the food is great I'm very fond of their lamb and mint pasty 😊yum yum. I like their all day breakfast pie slices aswell but I have to limit things like that and a full english breakfast once a month treat. Too much cholesterol 😢

Some big fishing families lived in the town, of course the railway came and it became incredibly popular with tourists and it changed the thinking. It benefited highly from Tourism during the time of the Napoleonic wars, as Teignmouth, Torquay had high naval activity and French prisoners arrived daily. Brunel saw this and the railway lifted the town’s prosperity considerably and Dawlish became one of the uks most popular tourist destinations with the wealthy.

Hi Bill, yes you were right, I did enjoy today’s Dawlish video. It always looks lovely even in the winter. Boat cove is an interesting place, I brought my mum a boat cove tea towel from Laura Wall a while a go, she loves it but would much rather see the real thing. Swans and ducks all look good , I do feel abit sorry for them during winter .😊
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth17 күн бұрын
Glad to hear it Linda - Yes, I kinda feel bad for them myself, but I suppose its all nature at the end of the day, and they are kinda designed for the weather they are facing 👍👍👍

Like the walk along to the cove, why not put all your pics b & w on a web page Bill?
@BillsPhoneTeignmouth17 күн бұрын
Because they are not really 'My Pics' David. I'm using them on a fair use basis, by adding value and original content by my speech and the present day approximation. I can legally do this, but If I just put them on a webpage, I'm basically just taking other peoples pics that I don't have the right too 👍👍👍

It’s actually a young Rouen duck , which was bred in France for the table, for some strange, odd reasons I called it a french runner.
