Some of the jet ski riders can be a pain when it comes to boat traffic. But the ones that are out there alot have rescued boaters, people swimming and helping out in general and no one knows.. Great job this this guy..

Was actually a Waverunner. And he saved the day for sure but towards the end it looked like his hull lightly touched a rock. Hopefully the rash wasn’t too bad for his sake.

JazlDazl Unfortunately true most of the time. It can get especially painful on the Yamaha Waverunner hulls because they are super thin and use a “Nano” technology as they like to call it. So he’d need to go to someone that knows how to work with that material, if there is indeed an rash or crack.

Somehow I've become addicted to this channel, there is something very soporific about watching boats bash their way through the swell. I'm from the UK, and we do things differently over here, mostly because the weather is so shit, but I've learnt something already from wavy Boats: I want a Hydra Sports boat with at least 4 engines with a combined 2000hp output minimum. My brother-in-law was a commercial fisherman in the 80's. My sister is 10 years older than I. I used to like spending summers with them. I was a teenager, and passed lots of time sitting on the rocks of the jetty, watching boats roll in and out. So I really enjoy watching your videos...takes me back, and it's just so pleasant and entertaining. I appreciate the lack of commentary and musíc.

Boat #1 - clear demonstration of what a flares bow is good for. Boat #2 - another boat meant for a lake should have stayed inside, and dang, I thought he was going so good at first then panicked and pulled back on the throttle. @8:00 contender shows how to get in an inlet without swamping and without stress fractured hull - great job Capt!

Exactly. It was only a matter of time before the 2nd cushion fell out & it didn't appear like either of the two men were going to secure it. Beautiful boat though & I love the Quad 400s.

Awful boats. I was a service advisor at a dealership in 2005/6 and I was assigned to Chaparral and Robalo (Chap builds Robs now). I was mortified by how poorly built they were...it was appalling. I had to leave the job bc the volume of pissed off customers was overwhelming. I could go on and on about all the problems I saw behind the scenes.

This and every other Haulover video shows two really basic errors: no lifejackets and a belief that you can somehow defeat big waves by using maximum power. Seamanship absent on both counts! Bill Dixon

If you drive a car, you follow the rules of the road, don't you? That's other peoples' safety. Or are you one of those Americans we keep hearing about who think that other people don't matter?

They don’t. He’s probably waving at them, for starters. Secondly, it’s nautical etiquette to wave at and acknowledge others on the water....pond, lake, ocean, doesn’t matter, really...everybody waves. It’s one of the curious little things about boating that doesn’t seem to exist in any other subculture in quite the same way.

I am hooked on this channel!!! Thank you very much to the person who does all of the work to make this happen. I’m in California (inland) and I can’t believe the stupidity of some people. I guess that’s the deal--they make millions of dollars per year, so they go out and buy whatever they want and they beat the thing to hell through dangerous areas? I really enjoy seeing those cats that go through the waves so much more stable than a regular bow. I probably have the names wrong--I apologize if I do. I’m not a boater.
