Hi Simon, I like your friendly and self-effacing style :) I would say though, if you're going to do a 'How-to' video you should explain what you're doing in more detail. You very briefly mentioned Spartite at the beginning - I know what that is but I would imagine most people don't so a little more explanation would be good. You also didn't show the product you used. You said it snapped if you pulled it too tight but it would have been good to have had a clip of that. I'm not trying to be critical, just trying to be constructive :)

All very good comments. We threw out the packaging and couldn't find it. I went to the chandlery to get a picture of it but they were sold out. And agreed about the rip. All great feedback. Thank you Dean. We'll work harder on the future how-to videos :)

Always wondered, did you do any formal training before you started sailing with your family like RYA Day skipper Simon?
@Sailingbritican3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did RYA Day Skipper and RYA Coastal. Previous to getting Britican, Kim and I did Sunsail Flotilla Holidays every year for one week. Two years before Britican we got a 35' Moody sailboat and gained quite a bit of experience from that boat. S.

What was the type of tape you used? I’m glad I’m not the first person to puke into your sink.
@Sailingbritican3 жыл бұрын
So...it's called self amalgamating or self-bonding tape. We get ours at Budget Marine down here in Grenada but Gorilla Tape makes a version. There's loads of different sizes (width/length), colors and shapes. Normally I recommend a brand but I think it's all the same stuff. As for puking - I thought you did it over the side and not in the sink. Regardless, you recovered ;) K.

That was the tape we put on in Trinidad I guess.

I don't remember doing that! K

@@Sailingbritican Probably because you and Sienna were nice and comfy in the air conditioning, while Simone and I were sweating on deck applying it. 😝

You seem like a nice guy but it’s really annoying to come looking for a true ‘“how to” and find some chit chat, an ad for books and a sped u[ useless video that no one can learn anything from. KZbin breeds people who just like to have people watch them and click a like button. There are people doing thoughtful, thought out, explanatory videos… this ain’t one…
