The master craftsman applying and manipulating the fairing compound certainly knows his business and is not put off by hard work!! A true pleasure to watch - who said watching paint dry was uninteresting?😂 Can just about guarantee the boat wont leak. Enjoyed the video.

Getting there, Hub. Once the outside hulls are watertight - you can seal/bottom paint both of them while Rolf works on the inside repairs. You will be back on the water- sailing in no time. Getting off the hard asap is the goal here. This a big upgrade from your mono hull. The heat will dry the bottom paint quickly. Two coats per hull in one day maybe. 3 days you could be done on the outside- out of the heat & direct sunlight. You can finish the inside gel coat surfaces in Martinque even if it is raining outside. Happy New Year to you. May 2025 bring you new adventures and locations to explore.

To do it all over again, assuming you didn't find that catamaran, what would you want in a monohull? You have talked about your 30 foot boat as too small fairly often. What would you consider to be the best size for a solo sailer, with a possible +1? Cabin under the cockpit? Tiller vs. wheel? How wide until the ocean just beats on you? How narrow till you have no room? Just a stove, or with an oven? Composting toilet or regular head? Seperate space for a shower or have a wet room? Best keel type? How about having a pup onboard? Buy garlic with parsley capsules. Take 2 small capsules daily and the mosquitoes leave you alone, and do not worry, you will not smell of garlic.

You need a 5"x36" flex adjustable finishing trowel used for swimming pools. They multiple adjustment points that allow the trowel to bet set to the proper profile.
