As a boat owner,your tips are spot on. :)

There's a lot of people offering spots on FB now so as a boat owner these tips are worth following. One more thing I'd add is what the catch divide rules are before you take the spot on the boat. Everyone has different rules on that too.

Make it standard to send this link for a view to anyone joining you. What a great tool to use for educating guests without being 'that guy'. That guy, being the bossy, authorian that can't communicate accept through passive aggressive ways. Great vid!

Main one, bring only what you need! I have a good 33ft boat with great deck space to gear up, but when there is crap scattered from here to breakfast it shits me a tidy boat is a safe boat. All the other things are nice offers but I usually refuse and just want them to enjoy the day.. but make sure your tidy!

Great summary of etiquette for spearfishing, but honestly many other events as well, where you're invited to use someone else's investment.

Helping clean the boat after is make or break with me. Many people have been crossed off the call list for skipping out on the cleanup.

Moral of the story buy your own boat so you don't have to be a mind reader or have to walk on eggshells.

Everything he said is common sense stuff that should’ve been drilled into every person as they were growing up.

@@alaefarmestatesllc some of them yes, like being on time but boat specific quirks that differ from captain to captain is not something you're taught as a kid.

@@xjinit it’s not really boat specific quirks. More life quirks. Keep ur stuff light and tidy/organized at all times. Don’t damage anything on his boat, including his gel coat. Just being mindful of your property and others. Etc etc. def thing we all should’ve been taught growing up
@xjinit

@@alaefarmestatesllc Who damages a boat intensionally? It's about fun for me, constantly trying to read someone's mind and worrying if I might be doing something they don't like makes it an unpleasant experience hence why I bought my own boat.

Lesson learned. Don't invite a self centered, unaware person who just doesn't get it. Wow!
