I have almost the same boat. You have done about everything I want to do to mine.

Well Sir I must say that this escape 200 is rockin! You have done a great job on her, I am looking for a 200 dc 99-05 myself and will aspire to have her looking this good! Your electronics are sweet, no anchor use for the trolling motors capability is the way to fish. I'm near Conroe and like to fish for crappie, hybrids, catfish as well. Can't wait to find one, hopefully I can borrow some of your tips and upgrades when she comes home? Thanks for sharing this with us all! J.D. Also post some videos of you fishin with her sometime, would like to see it in action! Thanks

I am putting her up for sale next week. I got a larger boat that I can take offshore as well. Let me know if interested.

Do you happen to remember where you got the 120 degree coupler for the rail?
@BorodenTV Жыл бұрын
I can’t recall exactly. I used boat outfitters, Amazon, and there are some various marine supplies online.

I have the same boat/motor and I am planning to add a Minn Kota terrera trolling motor soon. I need to know the shaft length. It looks like 60 inches from your video. Does that sound right? I'm so glad you made this video as it's the first I've seen detailing a trolling motor on an Escape 200. I currently am using a 24 volt transom mount trolling motor but it leaves much to be desired. I put the batteries in the port console after reinforcing the floor with some 1/2 inch polyethelene plate and that works very well.

Yes it is 60 inches. Longer is always better to get a good bite in the water, but this always worked well for me. It would have to get pretty rough.

@@BorodenTV Thanks for the reply. I'm assuming your forward fishbox is insulated, mine is not. I tried putting some ice in there one time and it melted within 2 hours. It is holding an 18 pound Boyles anchor now. I will insulate it with polyurethane foam when the trolling motor is installed. I fish Galveston Bay and the Boyles is great around all the gas well shell pads we fish.

@@georgegreenwood7482 I don’t know if it is insulated. I no longer own the boat. It did the job for me in Texas on the lakes. I am in FL now with a 27 ft Grady white

When you owned this boat, were you storing it uncovered in your backyard? I just bought a 2010 Sea Hunt 186 Escape LE. I storing it in a space under a shed that I rent now. I may decide to ultimately store it at my home.

I don't know what I spelled there, but I got a new boat, used. 23 ft Polar with twin 150s. I could not pass on the deal. I will be mixing in salt water with this boat. I'll post a walk through soon.

I just pickup a 2001. Do you still have your boat? Any problems?

I no longer have this boat. I live near saltwater now. That sea hunt was a great little package. Perfect for the Texas lakes and nearshore if you live near salt water. It didn’t have any interior lights, so I added those limitec bar lights. Loved that boat.
