Thanks for taking me back to my childhood memories. I was born in Friday Harbor while my parents were caretakers of spieden Island. 1950 to 1960

Yes, definitely new to us, it was nice to get to some of the smaller less developed islands.

Having grown up with 20 feet and under boats in Puget Sound I can imagine running thru the San Juans with one and Camping. However in 2000 I sold my boat and did not get another until 2021. Upgraded to a 30 foot Bayliner Flybridge. Now after spending the last 2 summers boating I cant imagine anything less than this boat. Its soooo nice either using mooring bouyes or docking and your boat is your home vs luggin all that gear and sleeping on the ground on the island. MIght want to consider upgrading. BTW love James Island. The Bioluminesant is amazing

Yes, for only boating Puget Sound a bigger boat would be nice, but it would be useless for most of the water we are on day to day.

Hi there! Thanks for sharing your trips. I was struck by your muffin/lasagna cooking device. Where did you procure this? What is it? Thanks in advance!

That is an Omnia Oven. They sell several different inserts for it as well, such as the muffin insert. It works great! We have a few other Omnia videos as well. You can find it on Amazon or other websites.

Thanks for the video. I made a similar trip in my Hobie tandem Island sailing/motor kayak. Tones of fun. Wondering what boat you are using, how big. I was thinking about repeating my previous trip in my Lund boat. How much gear weight did you allow for the boat? I did my trip in September and had great weather. No rain except one night. Well done video.

We did the trip in a Hewes Craft 16' Sportsman with a 60 HP motor. We had no issues, but did avoid going far on the two small craft warning days we encountered. We likely had about 300 pounds of gear on the boat, including cooler with food and drinks, camping and fishing gear. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
