4 years later, the game has to be changed to "Check Game" after apparently someone at Barry & Enright Productions realized Price was using the name "Blank Check" - which was also a lousy game show in 1975 - leading to a potential suit, forcing Price to change the name of the game.

Correct, first time it was played as Check Game was on Jan 29, 1987 and we’ll see it once Barker Era makes it to season 15. It was two weeks after the Double Prices set got an upgrade

I never thought this game was confusing. Write a check for an amount that, added to the amount of the prize, falls within a certain target range. I think it's odd it hasn't been retired yet, as nobody writes checks anymore.
