Can anyone tell me what the plus sign above the a means at 1:12???

That's that he plays this grace note with an alternate A fingering to alter the timbre a bit. If you play a normal A, then add in your right hand 1,2 ,3 to get that alternate fingering. Hope this is clear

The fact that Bob was killed in his prime is nothing more that a sin to music and to man kind. When he was with Miles I almost had him come up to a club I was playing at in Rochester NY just before he died but it never happened do to schedule conflicts with Miles
