Bob Dylan is my favourite artist and Norm is my favourite comedian, and for the longest time I had no idea these two admired one another. In my opinion, Norm's stand-up has a dylanesque quality in the performance and delivery that's unmistakable. It's more than the cadences.

I never noticed that similarity until you mentioned it; - you are correct! :-)

Norm would play “Don’t Think Twice, it is alright” when he walked on stage when to do standup.

I pronounce things much the same as both of them, I am from Minnesota (upper midwest) and I am often mocked for the way I pronounce certain words or phrases. It is a Minnesota, Canadian thing but used by very few anymore.

Also, I mean, Norm's son is named Dylan.
@ImNotGregGraffin19 күн бұрын
Yeah, but Norm apparently named him after the writer Dylan Thomas, not Bob Dylan, as Norm’s dad used to read him Thomas’s writings as a kid

I've always wondered about this: is the story legit? It sounds terribly similar to that famous twitter typist story of norm's. could it have been possible that the podcaster (whoever he is) took one of norm's made-up stories literally and didn't get the punchline, and norm didn't bother to correct him? it does sound like the podcaster has no idea about norm's twitter bob dylan story.

The typist story wasn't the only story Norm tweeted about Bob Dylan. Here's another one: i.imgur.com/TyGI8VW.jpg

Norm did write a whole twitter thread telling the story of his visit with dylan. Absolutely was not joking. I think norm didnt speak about it because he didnt want people thinking he was telling a funny story. His tone in writing about it is very different than when he tells his made-up stories
