Dunsy, this is precisely the stuff! I’m a big fan of Richard Thompson, and Bob Mould. I have this album. It’s a superb set of covers but ‘Turning Of The Tide’ is the album highlight. I’ll be getting my capo on after work tonight! Love,y to see it played on a period correct sunburst Strat a la Mr Thompson himself. Immensely grateful for this lesson. Cheers, Andy.

What a great track to do. Big fan of Thompson, Husker Dü and Sugar from way back when. I remember Thompson and Mould appearing on albums by The Golden Palominos, but not at the same time. Cheers for this!

Another excellent video 👌I don’t remember ever using a capo on an electric guitar . I’ve only used one on acoustics and that’s not very often . So will make a change.👍🍺

Always good to get the capo oot and engaged - this is a great example of basic chords with a capo that sound killer.

The verse reminds me slightly of Beat on the Brat. Bob is a huge Ramones fan in addition to Richard Thompson fan, so it makes sense. :)

Fantastic song , I don't know why I don't have Beat The Retreat , I love Richard Thompson. I'll have to sort this. Do you know if anyone does Hand of Kindness on it , that's my favourite ?

It's a great album with a really big mixture of artists. Loads of different styles. No Hand of Kindness on it, unfortunately.
