I loved Bob Newhart. I was a 14 yr. old freshman in high school when Bob Newhart started out. I took theater or speech as an elective all 4 years of high school. , and my Thespian friends, all loved Newhart and I still have my vinyl records of his first two albums to this day. If you have never heard them, you should listen to them. This was one one the funniest men…so glad he did not stay in accounting! You are going to be very missed. Rest in peace and have fun with your pal Don Rickles in heaven. You have made so many people happy….thank you.

Oh, my goodness bob, how much you will be missed. Every time I think of you, I think of my dad and his brothers. My uncles always converged on our house at least twice a year. They are scattered all over the country. One of the last things that I did for them prior to their next visit was to make a video of the funniest skits of Bob Newhart in anticipation of their next visit to see my Dad. Little did we know that my Dad would not being an attendee. They came home for his funeral instead. Anyway, after all the funeral activities were completed all our relatives came to my parents' home to celebrate the man that my dad was. We made a tape of him and all his family to view after the services were all daid and done. After that was over, I debated whether or not to play my recording. Well, I did so, and the house was booming with laughter. After it was over it was filled with us all crying. I miss my dad so much to this day. But bringing laughter into his house after was the one thing my dad would have loved. Sorry, this is so long. I miss you so much, daddy. Thank you, Mr. Newhart, for all your wonderful years of laughter. You were one of a kind and will surely be missed by millions. My condolences to his family.

I think this great man would be disappointed at how filthy mouthed comedy has become, unnecessarily so, and how very good comedians even, have let go of civility, as if four letter words can be used as much as “and, or, but”. I find it very unnerving and disgraceful. Bob Newhart could make us laugh, and all the family ,could enjoy great comedy together. I remember his tv shows with great affection. May he rest in peace.

WTF. What Sino mocking? The 30 seconds he pretends to start a driving lesson with a Chinese driver? He makes a nonsense statement in faux “Chinese”. Hardly mocking and as far as overall material is probably less that 1% of the running time. Grow up and thicken your skin.
