Wow, what an absolute treasure this man was. At 59 years old, with no talent or experience, I want to try painting while I recover from surgery. I wouldn’t even attempt it without Bob Ross. He takes the mystery out of painting, giving confidence to someone like me to give it try, knowing that however it turns out, I’ll have fun with it, and learn enough to get a little better with each attempt.

I painted this for my dad for Christmas and it’s not nearly as amazing as bobs but even though I spent hours on it watching bobs video over and over and going back I never got bored of listening to him. He’s such an amazing individual and I love the way he’s so into his paintings

This man is someone we'll never forget. As someone who wants to pursue artistry digitally and seeing amazing artworks out there while me not having time to draw because I don't give myself time, I forget why I want to draw, why I want to illustrate, why I want to create. I just wanna make people smile through my work, and this reminds me just of that, thank you Bob, I'll see you the next time I feel like it.
