Me too but TouchToggle also just released a physical push button switch for this system and I'm eager to try them as I like the tactile of physical buttons but the simplicity of the touch toggle control board installation. Either way the Tech Toggle system makes switch panels so much faster and easier to make that it's worth the couple extra bucks for the hours and sometimes days of labor it saves.

like the suitcase wire connection is out there with the new connection you have i can run my switch from my iPad or from my phone or have the dispatch room switch them for me they do have to when entering onto a mainline

You do an incredible job. Thank you for sharing. I love the Southern Pacific, my dad was an executive officer in San Francisco. He ran the Communications Department for the whole railroad. Is that somewhat a copy of the Tehachapi loop?

Not really. The loop is just a fictional feature the layout owner requested when he had Byron design the layout.

I honestly don't know that everything would fit but even if things are compressed and the unneeded sections omitted, I think it would be entirely possible to create a layout that stays true to the subdivisions look, feel and operations. I'd have to see the subdivision maps and know which timeframe you want to model to know for sure however as railroads in 1920 are very different from 2020 railroads.

@@tonyordaziii7250 A lot changes in 70 years but then again, some things don't. In situations like this I build with modern clearances but pretend the industries along the route never died. Anyway, I'm happy to discuss your potential project further but I'd ask that you email me. [e-mail] with the following: - A drawing of the room with measurements in inches. I will need details such as door and window placement, any columns or immovable objects that need to be worked around as well as any walkways that must remain passable. - Do you have a track plan or would you need one? - Type of track to be used - Minimum track radius for main lines and sidings. - The type of running you intend to do - watch trains run, operable accessories, realistic running, switching or something in between. - Will this be single deck (flat) or will it have grades and or a second deck? - Timeline - when would you be ok with this being completed? - Projects of this complexity take time to do right and the materials take time to acquire in the quantities needed.

@@MRBenchwork I also like to model the Moffatt Tunnel route, Soldier Summit route, Donner Pass route with D&RGW & Southern Pacific steam locomotives other than the Union Pacific divisions that I mentioned above.
