I have a Bob that I bought in the late 80's/very early 90's. I love to use and bob and my grappling dummy are my main bags. Body shots are great on bob but the one glaring problem is the head doesn't have enough mass. I'm in my early sixties now and I've trained since the mid seventies. I've done full contact in every sparring session. The head on bob doesn't feel anything close to a human head. Like this gentleman does, you must also use a heavy bag. Bob is best for accuracy training, in my opinion. Good video, sir!
@ThePitOnlineDojo5 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, and you are correct about the mass of the head, but when I use the head on the Bob Haser for attacking the eyes, And the throat.It also helps me focus on the chin.I worked the heavy bag for more power, But since the Bob is more anatomically correct,I work my chinSpecific punches on the Bob. Thank you very much for your great input.

Excellent teaching for street fighting. Scratch out eyes, break through Adam's apple into throat and a couple strikes on liver. Jumping on the head of a lying villain looking for scratched eyes , it's the last , what is missing to perfection. If the aggressor did not receive the same training you are a sure winner. I completely agree that this is a real victorious tactic for street fair fighting. 😉😁

Joocar makes an anatomically correct T shirt that fits Bob. Finger jab, learn how to do a REAL eye whip. You can use them from VERY short distance and VERY rapidly. No digging behind the Clavicle? No ear rips? No nose tweaks? No face rips as you step past? No throat grabs? Not dirty enough. Palm stike instead of a punch, Pimp slap rings the bell just as well and leaves an open hand for other immediate movement.

The eye poke thing does not work under adrenaline unless you really injure the eye so he cant see. I am speaking from experience. Got a key under my eyelid once and was extremely lucky to still be able to see but the pain you talk about is no there immediately. I felt a sharp poke like with a needle and continued fighting and realised something is wrong when I saw my eye in the mirror 20 minutes later... Go for the eyes only if you intend to blind the guy... Throat shot is an instant fight ender but believe me you will be scared more than the guy you hit when you see the after effect...
@ThePitOnlineDojo5 жыл бұрын
I think both are great targets, and you can take what you can get in a life or death situation, But believe me if somebody's trying to hurt or kill me I am not going to be scared watching him/her gasping
@MagPencho5 жыл бұрын
@GerMart During training is a different story. When you are under adrenaline you dont feel much. Thats why people do not go against knives in fights. You will barely feel the stabs and you might even win but a couple of minutes later drop dead... I am not showing off or anything. I am just sharing experience.

@MrMungin817 жыл бұрын
THE PIT Online Dojo no sir I disagree it's better to walk away from a fight then they go to jail or the morgue... I have been doing martial arts for over 15 years and I can tell you I've never had to take nobody's life. I don't know what state you live in, but where I live, you must have a black belt identification card, and even that won't stop you from going to prison for the rest of your life. Being a trained martial artist/boxer, we are taught to recognize the threat, defuse the threat, and walk away from the threat. There have been a couple of cases where I have had to defend myself and never used a ridge hand throat chop. If you cannot defuse the attacker without using lethal means, then in my opinion, you're not a good martial artist. As all police officers are taught and as in many dojo as well as my own, we are all taught to preserve life. One of our greatest teachers of all time, besides Jesus Christ, none other than Mr. Bruce Lee, taught us the art of fighting without fighting. In other words, it's called a brain of chess and not checkers. Selah
@maxrey40556 жыл бұрын
Depends on the age and the situation. For me being 50 , I'm not getting into a "fight" from an argument. If I'm getting physical it's because I'm being attacked and all bets off. Kids brawling in a a bar is another thing, need to be careful
@nigelfarage696 жыл бұрын
You're an idiot. You cannot walk away from some douchebag high on meth attempting to stab you in the head because you cut him off a minute earlier. This is SELF DEFENSE.
@Grizzleback076 жыл бұрын
@@nigelfarage69 I agree. I have seen many assaults where people have tried to walk or run away but had to defend themselves. If you went to all measures to avoid a fight and acted in self-defense then you did what you had to do to avoid bodily harm. If someone who shoots at you, do you not have the right to defend yourself and shoot back to protect yourself?! Any prosecutor with a brain will not file charges against you.
