hello sir, could you please show us how to make the range finder go up and down (preferably wireless)? ive searched all over youtube and i found only one video and even that video wasn't really helpfull since he was saying to use a certain product that we may or may not have here in Europe since he was saying to order it from amazon (wich we dont have in europe)... Thank you! BTW if you decide to make it (please use a micro servo) I will share it as a thank you to all those costuming groups that I follow on facebook and don't seem to find a way neither since other than me, someone will make this question on daily basis! oh and im subscribing right now.

Hello! I am certain that a micro servo could be fitted for the purpose you suggest. However that is not what I have chosen to do. My range finder is manual rather than automated. I may be incorrect but I believe the few times I have seen Fett interact with the range finder he simply moved it into position by hand. If you find a solution that works the way you want I would be very interested in seeing it. I may take time at some point to try automating mine but I have many other priorities at this time.

@@EvanWhitaker thank you for the response it means the world to me. Aaaaaand no, he msy make it go up with a little help of his hand in mando S2 but it's because it was damaged in the sarlac pit, but it always comes down by its own and i think when he is in the slave one in ESB we can see it comes up by its ow..... shoot! I forgot need to watch the scene again..well i saw it but the scene starts and ends with the range f down, its just a piece of his ship that he push up.. Anc Cobb Vanth makes it go down without touching it and then back up by gently touching it... Ah! in BoBf he uses a rocket against those huge droidekas, and imprety sure it goes up without help.. so i guess its automated.. one question though, when you say manual, do you use magnets or something? Thank you very much!

Great information. Thanks! I do have some 4mm magnets in place to help hold the finder in the up position.
