Yea that was really dumb. You build Trigon up so much and that he is so powerful and so scary like OMG. Then he gets defeated within 5 secs. I was like wtf!!! Such a poorly written and directed show, it just never got better ever but it had it's moments. That's not saying much though cause even the crappiest movies or shows has it's moments.

I do want to add that Ryan Potter really acted his heart out this season. He clearly felt a connection to Beast Boy in a new way this time. He was really getting mannerisms right and the connection Beast Boy has to the people he loves. He I think made me smile the most while watching.

So basically a summary of this ending would be: A hybrid mix of Klaus Mikaelson and Ramsey Rosso (Bloodwork) summoned a cheap dollar store version of Mehrunes Dagon so that he could kill him, gain his powers by eating his heart and then use a Stargate to open a wormhole to another planet so he could destroy it. Sounds legit. Also if you got all of those references, I'm impressed lol.

I also imagined (more Teen Titans appropriate) for Gar to turn into some sort of larger animal (rhino or elephant) to weigh himself down when he was getting sucked in and comically plug the wormhole with his large green behind in said large animal form lol.

I agree with everything you said and then even more. I tried to think how that Christmas flashback would have worked in their timeline and why Gar didn’t turn into a gorilla to tear the black plugs. Wish Raven had a bigger scene and kept thinking she would. I love the acting though and I still thoroughly enjoyed this episode and series. The very ending was perfect and head canon tells me they get back together not long after this. Hard to believe it’s over with but I remain optimistic for a future of Titans in the DCU. First of all: I have always loved Ryan and Teagan, they were not only playing my favourite characters but they KILLING IT with their acting They were the best actors BUT This season Joshua Orpin and Joseph Morgan were AWESOME I love their performances! They were so good at it! Second: agreed in the Trigon matter/issue. He supposed to be THE greatest evil. Almost indestructible being that could destroy the universes. And that way to die?? WTF??? He was not the threat it was selled of He was just a joke Maybe is to make show Brother Blood is a bigger threat, but... I didn't buy it Sebastian was the best foe so far, as so Mother Mayhem But Trigon was treated poorly. It was disappointing. Third: I didn't found this ending fulfilling at ful (just not a little bit), because DickKory was served, Superboy arc was cool, but Raven and Beast Boy relationship was only hinted and then they were strangely "separated" (IDK fhey were kind of stranged) and not ended together or at least in some kind of approach Maybe is about the actors ages (she's 8 years younger I think) but there are ways to do it without making it weird Finally I really think this was the best season. BUT they completely wasted White Raven!! She should have been the one defeating Trigon/Brother Blood with a HUGE battle Such a waste of a character and her powers I'll give it a 8/10 because Joshua and Joseph And Ryan and Teagan I'll miss seeing them! #TitansForEver

Wow. Can't beleive the show is over. Very nice way to end the series/show. Boba I agree with your criticisms. I loved the fight scene but I kept asking where are Brotherblood's powers? What the heck?!!? As I said before, I have enjoyed this show. The story of Dick Grayson was handled beautifully and we can see how he takes after Bruce Wayne. We see what he has learned and what he had to discard. The way they brought them all together for their last dinner was awesome. My only hope is that HBO MAX 2-3 years from now will give us a Titans reunion that we fans deserve. Boba your re-caps of the show have been great. Thank you for taking the time do these videos. Firstly the build up for Trigons return and then him dying so quickly felt like a complete waste. 2. The fact that Brother Blood was so insecure and his whole purpose in the beginning was to make his video game that was lame. Oh and I thought it was a bit odd that d*** made reservations for 6. When Connor was laying on the table unconscience? I did like the last 2 scenes where everyone was sitting together at dinner. I'm talking about their future plans and ultimately d*** and Kory were together as a couple.

Wasn't a bad ending/finale... just felt really rushed and random. You know what I noticed...? Since season 1, Trigon is supposed to be this badass villain that everyone is so afraid, worships and talks about, yet for both season 1 finale/season 2 intro and the season 4 finale, Trigon never lasted more than 5 mins of screen time... Edit: Titans have been really good with consistency and building up the threat, but not so good at executing a proper threat during a finale (maybe except for deathstroke). Trigon went down easily x 2 and Sebastian was basically using none of his so called "absorbed" powers and wanted a fist fight match against the Titans.

Regardless of the writing, ALL the actors did an incredible job at their characters. I started watching Season 1 at the beginning of the COVID lockdowns in 2020, and it's been a hell of a 4 years since. Loved Teen Titans growing up as a kid. And now still a DC fan at heart. Did the series have a lot of lapses in judgement, plotholes, and at times, questionable writing and production? Yes... but despite everything, I still cried at the end of it. It was a sweet way to end the series. I loved seeing all the characters do their own thing, and the series ending on Nightwing and Starfire together.

BIGGEST PROBLEMS WITH SEASON 4 Finale 1: Raven doesn't say "azarath metrion zynthos" once! Not a single time 2. We also don't hear Nightwing's famous Titans battle cry to action, "Titans Go" 3. So Beast Boy needs to unplug four large cables and instead of turning into say a GORILLA and unplugging them easily he does it in his human form which takes 4x as long? 4. So Brother Blood has a form of telekinesis, can even make mutiple people die in one room with just his mind, and he just killed Trigon but when Nightwing and Tim Drake come to attack he just resorts to hand to hand combat? Wtf , i agree with the host of this show, would've made more sense to have Raven casting a spell or something to depower Brother Blood while he fights them 5. Trigon once again was beaten way to easily without putting up a fight, this guy is suppose to be on Darkseids level wtf

Not just the weird fact that Trigon just stood there and let himself be killed, but also the fact that all Sebastian's power came from Trigon. I don't know how anyone thinks it's believable that Trigon would allow his own power to be used to kill him. No way. That was a bad story twist for me. Although I did like the episode overall. :)

Kory said that his plan was not his own but Trigon’s which means that Trigon probably knew about the gate and planned to do this all along. It fits with the projection that Kory mentioned at the Tameran reveal in season 1. Mother Mayhem also alluded to Kory not liking her role in their ultimate plan earlier this season. It makes sense that she was referring to her being responsible for the destruction of her home world.

I totally agree with your criticism that Nightwing and Robin should not have been able to take down the by-then very powerful Brother Blood unless some outside force, like White Raven, had somehow de-powered BB. Good point! That notwithstanding, I got lost with the news that Kory’s blue light had the power of ten thousand suns. Had that power metric ever been mentioned before? I mean, the idea that Kory alone could power a device to open a worm hole and hurl the planet Earth towards Tamaran seemed totally out of left field to me. She didn’t seem to be exhibiting that level of power when participating in fights before this episodes. With that kind of power, ever fight the Titans had in previous seasons should have ended in seconds. 🤷‍♂️

I hope you can discuss why they didn't even mentioned or atleast give credits to Wonder Girl, Hawk, and Dove. I believe these 3 characters gave a significant contributions to this Titans Series. I was kinda expecting them to be included or atleast mentioned because there are cameos of other superheroes in the RED episode. I was sad not seeing them again as a fan of this series.

Totally agree. So many ways they could have done the final battle with brother plug. Enjoy the series. Like the ending goodbye. It reminded of the last episode of Agents of Shield.

It has good moments. Im glad that it had a happy ending with everyone going their own way. Rachel mentioned going to college, but did she graduate from high school or get her GED? It seemed like she dropped out (she never went back and never mentioned online classes) and she might be considered a missing person (from the perspective of the people in her town, she disappeared after her mom was taken out). Trigon got taken out really easily again and I believe that it would have made more sense for Rachel and Brother Blood to have battled, considering that they're both children of Trigon. Glad that Superboy stopped trying to be Superman or Lex and decided to just be himself.

As always, a great review by Boba. I loved the final scene of a sort of unbalanced Superboy flying. I thought it was very symbolic of the Titans overall symbolizing strength, courage, daring and awkwardness due to a lack of maturity.

I love/hate this goofy messy guilty pleasure show lmao. I loved seeing Bernard and Tim Beast boy's arc was amazing but it didn't really connect much with the end Was happy to see White Raven Inconsistencies: Gar shouldve become a gorilla to remove the cables Yes Sebastian was overpowered and his plot driven underutilised power moments in the fight w Dick and Tim was hilarious! Trigon getting defeated twice in this show ruined his epic character! Raven didnt even say azarath metrion zinthos once or use much of her new power Dick booking a table for 6 while Conner was dead was just cringe and he forgot Bernard I think and I'm sure everyone thinks that the Teen titans animated series was untouchable and absolutely iconic. However this show was cute at times with Hank and Dove especially and overall had a good cast but the writing was almost always very messy with endless potholes and didnt do the characters justice!

I don’t know I feel like Rachel this season was such wasted potential we barely see her do powerful stuff so I find that sad what also bothers me is that it takes Rachel so long just to banish trigon but it takes sebastion 5 seconds to murder him so that’s weird but eh

I had my nitpicks like you did but I love how the series ended to where it felt comfortable as a series finale where it felt like a good way to put a pen on it and It just felt like a high school life this series did start when I was in high school and like then I'm finally finding my path with the way I want to go not going where others want me to go but just for me. This show had its ups and down but I loved it and am happy we got a live action titan show and hope to see these characters on the big screen or in James Gunn dcu
