My biggest gripe with the fight was the way Cecile beat Godspeed. Without even mentioning the flying, her psychic attacks shouldn’t have been able to effect him. It has been established in both the comics and the show that speedsters’ minds are too fast, and are therefore immune to any and all psychic abilities. Even Barry demonstrated this recently when he moved too fast for the woman in the Royal Flush gang to predict his moves. Godspeed shouldn’t have been effected by Cecile’s mind-meld at the end. Then there’s her sudden speedster-level reflexes to be able to stop multiple Godspeeds in their tracks. Also, little side note that made me laugh; when Cecile knocks one of the Godspeed copies off the balcony, he falls onto two wooden tables and breaks them. If you actually look at the tables, they’re placed in the absolute most random spot they could be, they’re literally in the middle of a flight of stairs randomly, nothing on them, no chairs around them, nothing. That just gave me a chuckle

In fairness, the comics are inconsistent as hell with the mind reading. Martian Manhunter can't read Flash's mind because it's too fast, but then there's stories of Gorilla Grodd having no issues doing it. But the show established that Speedsters are too fast for that, meaning Godspeed shouldn't have issues dealing with a recently upgraded Cecile.

That’s the stupidest thing ever. “If I die you will never be created”- Barry said that 3x21 to savitar. Why would savitar want to erase his existence. That was the opposite of his goals of season 3

The Cobalt Blue storyline should have started in episode 9 and been longer. Eddie Thawne should have been in his suit for at least 2 episodes. Barry's birthday with Arrow/Septor could have been in episode 8. This all would have made season 9 better immediately. The fillers killed this season!!!! 😓

Yes, things went downhill. Yes, I wish it finished stronger. But I can’t help but think back to when I first heard of this show. Flash has always been my absolute favorite superhero. But my initial thoughts were “King Shark, cosmic treadmill, Gorilla Grodd, this stuff is too far fetched for a mainstream audience. I love the idea, but if they stick with the comics it won’t get more than a season or two”. But not only did they hit almost a decade, they did each and every one of the things I thought was impossible for a mainstream audience to enjoy. And they did them all well. We got an amazing show about an amazing hero and while it wasn’t perfect, I’m grateful for how good it was overall. Because it could have been MUCH worse given some of his stories and rogues

THAWNE SHOULD’VE BEEN THE FINAL VILLAIN 🙄 The finale did little to build up to the final showdown it was rushed unorganized and it ended to quickly. Ultimately I feel like the best way to bring it full circle for the fans and for the show itself would’ve been Barry vs Thawne. Thawne was Barrys beginning ( his mother), middle ( getting him powers & training him) and present (betraying him causing him to be the hero we see) . Barry made it clear Thawne was his arch enemy there’s no way he wouldn’t have felt like this wasn’t all thawnes doing and just let it go. Especially with all Thawne’s done, Thawne is calculated, his character is always 5 steps ahead and he made it clear in that same episode that no one gets Barry just him so it would’ve the perfect opportunity. I could see Thawne convincing the negative speed force to bring back Eddie to insure he stays around then playing on his emotions and feeling for iris to turn him against Barry while bringing back all of the speeders to creating chaos to benefit him while then slowly take out team flash leaving Barry to not only go to different times and places to get reinforcements to face off

I liked the first half of the finale, but I checked out during Khione ´s pep talk to Barry. The meme of Barry always needing a pep talk lives on! The problem is the finale is only good if you like Eric Wallace ´s supporting cast, who, in my opinion, fail to justify their continued presence on the show. It took me a day before I could get to the ending scene, which I did enjoy, after watching reviews of the finale. I will say I liked the opening scene with the villains and Eddie as Cobalt Blue. Yes, they were campy but in a way, I could get behind. I wish we had more time with Cobalt Blue. His story was rushed. Also, in my head canon, Reverse Flash DID, in fact, kill Chester and Cecile moved away from Central City to be with Joe and work as a Meta-Attorney.

It was an okay series finale with the whole No Way Home moment with the Rogues Gallery all wanting to exact Revenge on the Flash but the battle felt anti-climatic. The new supporting characters seriously was the worst and it felt as if Barry Allen was the passenger and not the driver of his own show at times.

This is what should’ve happened during the final, instead of the side characters magically appearing out of nowhere, let’s have z Barry have that reaction of “Eddie what have you done, bringing back some of the worst people that I’ve fought against”! Type of thing, Barry unfortunately gets outnumbered and is pummeled hard from the evil speedsters, making Barry’s suffering last, also killing one or two of the side characters for the shock that they are for real. Or, they are completely tarring up the city, causing so much distraction and collateral damage, it’s too much him. When Barry is on his last breath, a miracle shows up. Wally West, Jay Garrick, Nora, and Bart come in to help out. An epic fight between good and bad speedsters lasting for a good 20 minutes, it’s a brutal fight, barely any of the heroes make it out alive, mostly for Jay Gerrick, who is killed by Godspeed, like how Bart says from the future, but this time, everyone witnesses it and Barry is the that is impacted the most and uses his full potential to go full God mode and outs and end to the evil speedsters. Cobalt Blue would fall back and the final fight would be in another episode where they are completely at full potentials. This is just a little rough draft of something I thought would be cool to see.

I think Nora having no visceral reaction to killing the "evil" version of her dad was indicative of how detached the writers (and viewers) had become to this mind numbingly tired alternate world plot device. When you're lost in following a formula, rather than writing out fresh ideas, it's pretty easy to overlook the obvious follies in this repetitive exercise. There's a part of me that thinks this soft landing for the series was more deliberate than what we're reading, because the execs at WB probably didn't want high praise competing with their upcoming film that clearly will have a new Flash recast afterwards. My belief is they wanted to silence any push from fans to want Grant in the lead role for future projects. Personally I think he would do a great job.

I think Cecile has Telekinesis and that's how she flies, kind of like in Chronicle. We could've gotten a lot more Cobalt Blue build up and maybe a better story but instead we got multiple episodes either with no Barry or only at the start of the episode I tried to stick with it but I'll admit I did skip a few because it's called The Flash but then has episodes without The Flash, maybe if the characters were as interesting as Caitlin and Cisco back in the first couple seasons I wouldn't have minded, though I will say I don't hate Allegra

The 'Crisis' that Flash disappeared in should've been all 5 speedsters fighting for control of the city for most of the season. Then when Flash returns from a solo adventure finally gaining his OP speed, he's finally faster than all of them. Bring in SuperGirl, Green Arrow, White Canary, and the other Arrowverse OGs to assist and put a wrap on the Arrowverse by finally creating the Justice League. But ultimately, it's the Flash that stops the speedsters because it should always be the Flash that stops his own Rogues. And the final episode should've been when Eobard Thawne and Barry go back in time and Thawne gets trapped. And I don't buy Eddie being evil, what they should've done instead had him return as an alternate universe's version of the Flash. Have Eobard Thawne's Reverse Flash give him our Eddie's memories in an attempt to turn him to the 'dark side', but it shouldn't work. And Eddie defeats Eobard, sending him running to the past to try and kill Barry's mother. This is when Barry follows him there and lets his mother die, trapping Eobard in the past. And if Cisco was brought back, it's fanficky but I think that he should breach Wells away to a place that he can't escape from. Have him apologize, saying that he was 'almost like a father to him' to have that come full circle as well.

I feel like after season 3 CW stepped in and said “This show is too dark, it was supposed to be family friendly.” It would explain the permanent shift in tone from that point forward. I will always push back against the thought that Eric Wallace ruined the Flash. It was already well past its prime before he joined the show. Todd is the guy who is responsible for ruining the quality of the Flash. Eric tried, and in some cases succeeded to refresh a show that was boring for most of season 3-5. Even if not everything he did paid off. I was not bored. He also got screwed over by the CW multiple times in the three years he was in charge. It's not all his fault.

honestly i wish instead of all of the filler this season had we instead only had the bloodwork one maybe have it be 1 or 2 eps so cobalt blue can start early and have eddies story be longer and just the fights were so dissapointing all of these characters have nothing to do with each other khione cecile chester alegra and chill blaine have no meaningful interaction with zoom or savitar why not have wally here and have him vs savitar and have wally mop the floor with him that would at least have his nerf make a little more sense also savitar who to me had the best design out of all the speedster villains now looks small and very avkward compared to him being this force of nature back in season 3 zoom was alright not too bad still got nerfed i think they shouldnt have changed their lightning color since it just doesnt fit would have been way better to have savitar and godspeed have white lightning then have zoom have his dark blue and cobalt have light blue while reverse flash keeps the red since it fits the most with him.

The Flash is badly written and its side characters are treated as mains and are also boring. Chester is just Eric Wallace's self insert so he can fantasise about banging Allegra, his creation in the comics. "Turned on" is Allegra's actress's only facial expression, Cecile went from shit lawyer to annoying feelings exposition to Mary Sue, Chillblaine's actor was only there for shirtless scenes.

I'm all for Grant crossing over to Superman and Lois that would be great, but keep Eric Wallace 1000 millions miles awaayyyyyy from that, just no. I mean he wanted a 10th season to do a storyline about the 4 negative speedforces (they probabely would've called Eddie daddy or something), and also wanted to do a storyline with a new villain for Chester and Allegra and something else with Cecile... I have nothing against those characters in small doses to *support* the main protagonist but where is Barry and Iris in all of his map up for season 10? Really? The supporting characters got the character devoloppement of a lifetime in these last seasons they were practically ready to leave if there was a season10. The ability Eric Wallace to be completely not self aware and drop all logic is honestly impressive.

Meh i gave up on the Flash series after season 4. Show was rubbish after that.

@@dcmastermindfirst9418 Season 4 was garbage. Season 5 was one of its best seasons. Season 6 and 7 were until Oliver went to prison. Season 8 was fine for what it was trying to do.. Flash season 1 and 2 flawless just as arrow imo. Season 3 for me is when it’s starts to get redundant, Savitar wasn’t set up well to me and was just flat out predictable. Season 4 with the thinker was actually good to me. Season 5 was up and down for me but season 6 and 7 never really took off for me. Haven’t finished 8 and I’m waiting to watch 9.

@@dcmastermindfirst9418 I never find myself completely losing interest in arrow like I did with flash even with flash being my favorite comic character. I think the supporting cast in arrow was better than the support in flash.

@jason15212 Lol season 4 was awesome. Why? Because it was the Thinker. He couldn't just use his speed to deal with Davoe. That really tested Barry. But every other villian is just a boring speedster he has to beat. Boooooring! Season 5 was garbage and the show got worse from then on. Then they had to bring back his mother in speed force form which was just shit and season 7 was laughably bad too. I lasted 3 episodes and couldn't watch a moment more. The writers ruined it. So fuck the CW and everything it had.

@jason15212 The Flash was garbage after season 5 and Arrow sucked ass post season 3. The only good part was Olivers fight with Ras on the cliff and that was totally wrong too. Arrow was just B grade Batman after that. Poorly written garbage.

Cecille was never interesting and somehow got the lead role in the show. Somehow even her screen kid got more time then Nora. What was the point of this show? Talk about ending on a low.

This finale was dog shit, an absolute RUSHED abomination, no one liked it, the hype was way too much and it felt like it was building up for another season which will never come and I'M GLAD ITS FINALLY OVER FROM SEASON 5 AND AFTER I JUST CRINGED EPISODE AFTER EPISODE
