@@demophys4883 yep, it was also against the backdrop of Vietnam. So many young teenaged boys not too far off from Greg’s age died, lost limbs and suffered from PTSD after being conscripted against their will in a televised raffle-esque draft. How conveniently these people leave that out of their romanticising! But, oh look, they’re eating dinner together as a family!

Who you gonna blame- kids who can't keep up with their friends and siblings at winning trophies, or, trophy moms who put a shelf in their kids' room and expect it to be filled with trophies within a year, so they can brag to their neighbors? Violet Beauregarde's mother in the Charlie remake movie was such a mother.

Being a Brady kid meant being an achiever in some way. None of the Brady kids were lacking in the hand eye coordination department so they were all involved in sports.

Bobby should've taken up some Martial Art training.You can win lots of awards,medals,and trophies like in tournaments.Thats what I took up when I was Bobby's age and eventually became a black belt and also became an instructor 🥋.

I wish he would have actually won at something at the end. It ended bitter sweet, his siblings made a trophy for him which was sweet showing they loved and cared about him but it was more of a pity trophy

Stinker was pretty mild by today's standards. I remember when my mother wouldn't let us use the word stupid. I thought Bobby was being a sore loser and a brat. When he lost he tossed the checkers game for Peter to clean up and threw the hoops for the girls to fish out of the bushes. Maybe they should've done what they did in a later episode when Jan was having one of her self image issues. Let him win at games. But that wouldn't have given him a trophy.

I think this is more neurodivergence issues. Not really bratty, just felt like because everyone else was good at something, but he wasn't. Sure he might have a bit of an attitude about it, but he is fine to feel the way he does...he just can't really communicate it because of the odd "since when do boys say" expectations.
