(SMH) Sadly, by the end of the tour and after many fights with Bobby Brown, some actually physical (fist fights), Robyn Crawford exits Whitney Houston’s life. This is what I believe Bobby Brown was referring to when he made the statement, “If Whitney Houston’s Mom, Cissy Houston, had been more accepting of Whitney’s relationship with Robyn Crawford that Whitney will still be alive.” For Bobby Brown to be able to reflect back on his life, all these years later and accept that maybe his ex-wife of 14 years, Whitney Houston, might have been happier and still alive, if her close and trusted ex-girlfriend, Robyn Crawford, had been accepted by Whitney’s mother/family is a huge insight. I actually thought it was contradictory of him to say that statement since it was him that wanted Robyn out of Whitney's life at that time. But now I see. I don't think he was trying to make a sale with that statement......I believe he was simply stating how he truly feels....his truth. Thus man was married to Whit for many years....he was around her, Robyn, & her mother, her family.....all the time. Bobby knew what he knew. He & Whitney discussed things that are personal.....he's not gonna share every single thing, and he shouldn't......but that man knew his wife had mad love for Robyn.......something that was already there between them....way before he came in her life. He also knows why their marriaged had to take place. Whitney & Bobby grew to love each other, but more in a codependency type of love. They had to live out their marriage & its codependency, in a lot of fantasy type actions.....because of the image that was forced on her, and because of the desperateness of her record company & her family, to get rid of the gay/lesbian rumors. I dont know how spiritual it was, but Whitney picked up on Robyn's ability to understand her, listen to her, stand up for her, protect her, love her, care for her genuinely, compliment her, correct her, be honest with her, encourage her, be out in front for her......all these things....from way back, early on in their friendship, when they met in summer of 1980. Yessss, most def an entirely different kind of love....stronger & more powerful! Whitney & Robyn did not argue & fight each other. Robyn was strong, Bobby was not. Robyn was confident & competent, Bobby was not. Robyn tried to protect her from her downfall, Bobby helped her fall down. So many things.....🤷🏽‍♀️

When Bobby said he believes that Whitney would still be alive today had she been allowed to be herself, basically, if she could have lived her truth, as it relates to her love, attraction, affection, & desires to be exclusive with Robyn. That pretty much tells us that her drug addiction was something she was caught up in to hide the pain she suffered.....mentally & emotionally.....her heart was broken. She loved & was attracted to her man, her husband.....but people have to think hard & deep about why that ever happened in the first place. When a person is being pushed & rushed into something.....and then have to live it out in fantasy & fiction, because they belong to a label & have parents that still control their mind, that's a bombshell waiting to explode. Whitney was easily manipulated & controlled by others. Unable to be strong and stand up for herself, and make her own decisions......pretty much ruined her career & her life. Yes, she fell hard & grew to love Bobby, she may as well had.....but there is a reason that the marriage quickly fell into a codependency with drugs! People do drugs for lots of different reasons.....Whitney suffered a lot of emotional damage & pain.....throughout most of her career. She was forced into different situations from the time her young, naiive, gullible self signed a record deal. From that moment, her life was no longer hers......it took her a while to realize that. So, people that have no idea why that beautiful talented woman & her life turned out the way it did.....why she went through the things she did? It was because she lived her life for others, couldn't be her true self, loved someone that she was not allowed to be with, eventually became codependent with her husband because they both suffered from emotional pain, (Bobby was having issues of his own) and both were abusing drugs......he was drinking a lot. I believe Whitney's life would have turned out different had she been stronger & in control of HER OWN life......made her own decisions.

The book is good! I actually have it on Audible, where Robyn can be heard telling her story and the emotions can be heard & felt! Robyn & Whitney were friends for over 20yrs, two of those years, at the very beginning were physical intimacy....So although they were physical from 1980-82, Robyn let's us in on 3 different occasions of her & Whitney's sexual acts, but she keeps it very clean, not to give specific details, but leaves our imaginations open. I respect her for that! I enjoyed the book....a great read, far more than just physical intimacy!👌🏽

Mary Hawkins It was his “ life lesson” His “wake up call, that saved his life.” It reminds me of the story of Jacob in the Bible; who is now called Israel... Jacob-forever walks with a limp, but it’s a reminder that he was “changed” by the hand of God. Jacob was described in the Bible as the “ deceiver”. A Lier and very selfish. But when he struggled with God (wrestled w/the angel of God) he was forever changed. Bobby has a new beginning, and he knows it; he feels it as Jacob did, thru the limping... Everyday he will be reminded of his past and the pain BUT, he has the promise of God thru the change of his heart, to keep him moving forward. To lose a child, that is the limping... Something he will always carry with him, but it’s a reminder to stay focused on the family and beautiful life that he has been given. God is good; even in the most indescribable pain life hands us; because in the end...we will be with HIM, in his presence; and nothing on earth can compare to that. Bobby will see his first family again-and the devil can’t touch that!!!! God IS good!

I understand Mary, it’s natural and a very human response to want her and her daughter to still be here. I think we can all attest to that sentiment. God, in his infinite mercy and grace; has allowed Whitney and Bobbi to be with him- in his presence; which is a much better place than we could ever imagine. We cannot see things as God sees them-we have finite minds; we. An it see the beginning from the end. Bobby, was Whitney and BK, spiritual covering here on this earth. He was the husband and father to his family and responsible for there wellness. He was their spiritual and natural covering; if you research this biblically, he is the head of the family. He failed his family... Aaah, but grace! He is given another chance to be a covering to his new family. Gods ways are not our ways. There is so much to say on this subject, but I believe strongly that he has been given a second chance. That is something we ALL need. We don’t deserve it, but God is merciful that ALL should not perish. :-)
