Sam - You seem like a wonderful man, very bright and positive about life. It's good to know that Bobby's son grew up to be such an amazing person. If he'd lived long enough to meet you, I know he would have been very proud of who you became. You resemble him in spirit. He and I were friends. He was a great human being. Brilliant, thoughtful, kind and one of the greatest musical artists the world has ever known. I wish you could have known him. He was truly wonderful.

John Goodwin - I know you are talking to Sam, but I can't help replying to such a beautiful and touching statement. It brings an emotional tear to my eyes, because your wish that Sam could have known Bobby, and that Bobby had known his son Sam, is so much the wish, of all of us who are proud to be friends with, and care so much about Sam! As such, it is so wonderful to hear this from you, who were friends with and knew Bobby - put ino words, how you believe Bobby would have felt! Knowing Sam - I second that's how Bobby would have felt. ❤️

@@sonofbobbydarin7330 He was such a treasure of a human being. Probably the most amazing person I ever knew. My father became friends with the Darins and they liked him and started to inviting him to their parties, barbeques, Bobby's performances. He'd take me and my brother to those events. Of course, as kids, we idolized Bobby as a singer. They became like family friends. I met him when I was 13 and knew him until I was 25, around the time he died. When I became a songwriter, my friendship with Bobby became other than an aspect of his friendship with my father. During all those years, I met most of the people in his and Sandra's family. The Spacey movie did a terrible injustice to all of those people. Bobby's mother, sisters and step brother (who was very young the last time I saw him

were all great people. Full of a passion for life. Sandra was wonderful - charismistic, bright. Her mother was also a lovely person, though perhaps not the ideal mother, according to her. Sam, you look soooo very much like your father! That alone would be enough to convince me. Your dad, had he lived longer, easily could have matched -- and even surpassed -- the greatness of Frank Sinatra. In fact, I personally always thought your father, Bobby, was better at interpretation of the songs he sang than Frank was. My all-time favorite song sung by Bobby Darin is, "Sunday In New York". I love that song and how Bobby sings it. It's the finest vocal recording of that song I've ever heard. God bless you, Sam, and thank you for sharing your life with all of us.

I'm curious whether Lillian informed Bobbie of the pregnancy. Did he know about his child? Or was she directed to give you (Sam) up for adoption? Either way, it is very sad for you. The Cosatto/Darin family needs to look at this situation as picturing your perspective of being a lost & confused adoptee looking for truth and answers. It's a sad thing that people have to be selfish and ugly. I have to get the books and read them. I just happened upon this video.
@sonofbobbydarin73302 жыл бұрын
Hi Rita. From what I've been able to glean, Lillian did not tell Bobby she was pregnant with me. I do not know if she tried and was just unsuccessful. More answers are in the books.
