No wonder, Bobby Fischer was indeed Paul Morphy reincarnated !
@DexterHaven3 ай бұрын
I remember when asked about why Morphy was so impressive Fischer once said, "He sees the whole board."
@ChadDippyDora3 ай бұрын
I remember reading a comment by someone from the NY chess club when Bobby was quite new. “He’s going to be great - just look at his eyes - all over the board.” I often fail to solve puzzles because I fail to look at a piece way from the action. Dawg, you’re the best chess channel.

Fischer had a crystal clear understanding of chess. And he believed in piece activity, above all else, like Morphy. Fischer is the man, the deadly gamesman!

Ok.... let's see here. I'm playing Bobby Fischer. My strategy is to let HIM dominate the Center, I am NOT going to develop my pieces, and I will castle INTO his attack. ??? This game was over at move 8. I hope Robatsch at least got Bobby's autograph... 😮

Thank you for this game! The image in my mind was Fischer playing as if he had attached marionette strings to his opponent and played "Punch and Judy" with him. I mean no disrespect to his opponent, I'm talking about this particular game.

Until this moment.....no one. has ever broke.... what Bobby Fischer did in the 1972 candidate matches......he zeroed his opponents! 6 to 0 hindi man lang nakatabla kahit 1 game ang kalaban nya! Amazing! I think that record will never be broken anymore!

It's like science. If you understand it very well, you can display it in a simple way. I think that BF just fundamentally understood the game better than anyone else, hence his greatness seems simple... thoughts??
@luatala80083 ай бұрын
Hi strategy was clear but to me not his moves or at least not the sequence in which he played them. If they were clear to me then I would be able to play just like him. For example who sees a move like Q-B8 at the end to refute N-B4 replying to R-N5 (7:32) eg …N-B4, RxR+ NxR, Q-B8!! Obviously black saw it hence why he didn’t play N-B4.

Bobby Fischer beat the weakest chess World champion Boris Spassky only 17 wins 10 losses! Capablanca would beat Spassky easily 8 wins 6 draws zero losses! Alekhine in San Remo 1930 elo score 3040! Over-rated Fischer and over-rated Kasparov their Best tournament scores only 2990! Karpov has won over 160 super grand Master tournaments! Fischer won zero only inter zonals 1962 1970! Fischer was Second in Santa Monica 1966 behind blunder maker Spassky! Fischer did not won Havanna 1965! Morphy Tal Alekhine Kasparov had much More beautiful games than Fischer! Fischer Lost 5 times against awful blunder maker Geller! Carlsen is 100xtimes better than Spassky and Geller! Imagine the stomach churning pain of playing Fischer while his position has no weakness, he's piling on the relentless pressure and you have zero counterplay. Grandmasters are extremely competitive, yet how can one keep defending without thinking "Stick a fork in me. I'm done."
