Fischer's midgame exploitation of the traffic jam on Tal's Queenside was masterful, but what impressed me even more was the brilliance of his transition to an ending in which his two Rooks would overwhelm Tal's Queen. How far forward did he see?

Can't believe Fischer was only 18 when he slayed the magician from Riga. Huge Tal fan because of Mato, but I guess it's okay to lose against the greatest of all time. Bobby was the slayer of the Soviet chess juggernaut. He bought chess to an equivalent of what world soccer is today for the common man. He was and is the greatest chess player of all time. No one can even get close to what he did for this game.....simply put, the most amazing chess player ever. The effects of Bobby are being felt to this day and hopefully always will. RIP Bobby Fischer....you were and will ever be the GOAT.

Bobby fisher was a monster. He is the best player ever in all times. Just to see how genius is he: i invit you to see that game vs Petrosian game 7, how Bobby played the move of the century, Nxd7 (play 22) !! Oh my God. No one can be close to him, even Magnus or Kadparov. Pure legend. R. I.P.

Am I missing something? 05:17. f7-e7. Then e7-h7. Mate or loses Queen. Did Fischer miss it? And 08:03, why not straight to g7 ? Then h7-h8 gets queen faster.

Thanks again Mato. This is just amazing chess, isn't it? That rook to D1 move for example. How many players would have thought of that? My first reaction on seeing it was, 'what's the point of that?' Seemed to me like a backing-off move. But Fischer was in fact tightening his grip on the game. Turning a possible win into a definite win. (A definite win for Fischer, that is. Handling White's position against Tal, I would sure to have a way to lose.)

Remember Bobby was only 15 when he played Tal in Russia in his first year 1958. at 16 Bobby never lost to Tal again blanking him 4- strait 2 were blitz games at 16 years an older!!

Bob Free Fischer’s games never cease to amaze me. He makes it look so easy. He is my favourite player. I firmly believe he is the greatest ever. If he had access to current chess data bases he would demolish everyone.

The problem of Tal is that he is even adventurous in giving his oppenent the chance to attack, though he may see it clearly..he should not allow Fischer to invade by his pawns. With very cautious player like Fischer, you should let any tiny advantage even one single pawn. Of note Tal won this tournament and defeated Players that already defeated Fischer.
