videos like this is why I think Matojelic is the greatest chess youtuber ever. sure, lots of others have better presentation, and go more in-depth... but only Mato can narrate such beautiful poetry as "...the war is raging, kingdoms are falling, the blood is knee-high... and the queen came home for a cup of tea. Unbelievable." Indeed. Thank you for being you, Mato!

Mato, I wanted to thank you for being singlehandedly responsible for making me fall in love with the beautiful game of chess. Thanks for everything you taught me about the game (I hardly knew how to move the pieces, now I'm finding some "killer moves" in my games) and for all those times you made me laugh with your jokes. God bless you!

In any game that's 'War like', if one side shows a bold front, their opponent begins to crumble, (psychologically), but Tal doesnt seem to. He sees the opponents plan, plays a brilliant combo, his own bold front, and it is his opponent who begins to crumble.

lawal ibrahim I'm struggling to understand your point; we are talking about the check mate that ended the game. We are saying when Tal moved his queen to A1, Black didnt see check mate in 2, he lost the game by taking white bishop with the rook

@lawalibrahim725 6 жыл бұрын
Nhlanhla oh my bad , I tot u meant a black had a checkmate chance and blew it by taking the bishop instead so I was looking fo the checkmate chance black had but couldn’t find any, I understand now that black blundered by taking the bishop instead of trying to defend again the against the check

Of course everyone can see that after Qa1, fxe6 (instead of Rxg5) and after Rxe3, Qf5 and black could defend. If played precisely black could even be preferable but in any way it is far from comfortable. I guess psychological elements were in action and this is why the title of the video mentions supernatural.

Tal's opponent is greedy that is why he lost. Did he not ask himself why Tal move his queen at the corner- to what purpose? Any chess player can see the next move of Tal why he placed his queen on the corner. But tal's opponent is eager to grab the bishop for free.
