I was on the lighting crew for this video. It was shot as part of a music video class held by the CSU Summer Arts program in 1987 at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. How cool to get to see a project I worked on years ago that I don't have a copy of. I believe it was the first music video Bobby McFarrin did. It was the next year that he went mainstream with "Don't Worry, Be Happy."

How can anybody with ears dislike this music? It's actually made by a person and not a machine. It's beautiful and dangerous because it opens our eyes to actual human potential. Turn off the radio and put in that tape or cd. Nothing compares to actual ingenuity and vocal range.

Yes the video looks funny but like, are you joking? He jumps like two octaves in less than a second. He can basically jump your entire vocal range to sing a baseline for himself as he sings a melody at the same time. Like what? And you say this song is low maintenance?
@Brandon756898 жыл бұрын
buttchicken 18 I didn't say it was low skill or taste. Its low maintenance cause its only his voice. Thats not a bad thing.

Such a millennial. You mismatch music abilities, musical knowledge, McFerrin was born in 1950 and his acapella skills can be very funny and entertaining, but nothing related to a comedian.

@funkmasta34110 i beg to differ, black people strive in some areas white people dont, and then white people strive where black people dont...why hasnt there been a white olympic 100m sprint winner for ages?
