Wow Buckin, what an honor to be able to talk to a legend like that. I'm sure Mr. Walker has forgotten more than allot of us will ever know about saws. How cool would it be to own and use an axe that belonged to Bobby Walker. Personally, I'd be afraid to use it. Welcome to all the new subs and greetings to all of the true blues. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Be kind my friends.

Howdy to all and a Huge THANK YOU going out to Mr. Bob Walker and Billy too! Today I learned and also was confirmed. Mr. Walker has so much head knowledge, I would simply love to apprentice under him. We had a saw magician not too awful far from where I'm at. He retired about a year before I learned of him. Wants absolutely nothing to do with saws now. If only.... I will continue to glean what I can from those with experience and continue in my studies at the School of Hard Knocks. Which is exactly what the True Greats of this industry have done. Live and learn.... Hopefully! Thanks Again.... Be Kind, Be Blessed!

My dad's been gone almost two years now but this takes me back to being in the garage with him and his buddies. They were hotrod guys from wayback, dad was put in the wv drag racing hall of fame couple years before he passed. All that to say, it was unreal the nuggets of power wisdom they would share just shooting the bull. Guys like that, like Bobby, are getting few and should be treated as the national treasures they are.

Ben Hall - hey Ben! Couldn't agree with you more. When I was on the fishing boats and we weren't catching anything, I would go to the tavern where the retired ol' timer fishermen would hang out. Chat with them and they would know where the fish were at. Then be back on the water according to their location and catching fish.

Many thanks to Mr. Walker for taking the time to share his knowledge! Was also raised to respect our elders. If they're willing to put up with my endless questions, I'm more than happy to pull up a stump and learn what their willing to teach! Dad would say "Only fools , or those who have no other choice, deliberately learn ANYTHING the hard way" "Listen, and be greatfull too those who have already walked the path you wish to travel, who are gracious enough to tell you where is best to step, lest your journey be delayed unnecessarily by having to stop to clean shit from your ignorant boots!"
