Hair transformation: using extensions to create a black to white blonde balayage

Hey Everyone! today I will be showing you how to achieve an ombre effect without the use of chemicals! My client today came in with so many layers of black box dye in her hair and wanted to have platinum blonde or silver ombre ends! so since the test strand that we did (obviously) didn't work, we decided to use extensions to achieve this really fun and wild look!

Holy crap. You just saved me from getting my hair bleached. I just did this with extensions..dyed my bangs for the money piece..and bam…balayage that didn’t require me to bleach any of my hair except bangs.

Yes!! Fellow stylist here and My best friend has been doing black hair for over 15 years, She wanted a bright red Ombre,I attempted stripping some color out, well it was a hot mess lol So I convinced her to do Bead extensions and It's honestly brilliant! A very good Option when you can't lighten with bleach! Awesome job,this looked Great🤍🖤🙌🏼

I really like this look! I have black hair and just did the Japanese hair straightening so I've been looking for ways to lighten my hair without actually bleaching it and this seems like a great option

Amazing!! I also have about 10 years worth of black box dye - stripping didn’t touch it .. bleach strand test only lifted the roots.. I am literally getting this done this week and I can’t wait now I’ve seen this 😀

Wow love the hair, getting extensions put in for 1st time tomo. Hairdresser said she doesn't have ombre tapes but can do it with nano however said my hair is thick so I would suit tape better to create thickness, however I really want the ombre black to blonde look so have gone ahead with nano instead

I lay the extensions at the sides on an angle so its easier to pull the hair back into a ponytail easier as its harder of the sides are layer straight 😊😊😊

And your application was great and you can tell cause you showed the hair straight (sometimes they just show it curled up and it’s because it’s not well blended 😅😅😅)

Looks great- but why did you install top to bottom instead of bottom to top? I don’t like putting tension on newly placed extensions.

with this new approach to extensions i wanted to make sure it blends from the top when i have limited extensions at my disposal. then it fills up more and more as we go downward

I love this method Too . My Hair dresser recommended to use clip in extensions instead , so that I can wash my hair with olive oil or coconut oil everyday and that will strengthen my hair and then use the clip in extensions... INSTEAD OF USING THE HAIR BONDING GLUE THAT CAUSES THE HAIR TO RIP OUT OR SMELL BAD.
