Finally an actual blond outcome. This color is the bomb, it is sunny blond, it has enough gold and enough ash. It is not red/orange but it is also not gray/violet. This is real blond!

I just want to chime in the comments and say that while it’s easy for everyone and hairstylists alike to get frustrated at the idea of this girl or anyone dying their own hair multiple times and botching it, you never know what someone is going through. I had very bad manic episodes and have ruined my hair countless times. It was really embarrassing to go to the salon and say that I messed it up because I was afraid of money, or I did it on a whim because (mania).
@ToniMichellee Жыл бұрын
Exactly. I did this exact thing to my hair! Went from hair that was past my tailbone , to bleaching to the point I had to shave it all off. And now a year later finally having my own hair again and actually going to a salon it’s a huge process and a huge step to even step foot into a salon after what I did to my hair and having to color the grays. Because let’s face it. I am 30 honey she issss GRAYYY so I covered them with box dye. And slowly but surely I have been working with the salon to get my hair back blonde with doing a full balayage. Trust the process. It’s so worth it in the long haul. My mania caused me to go completely bald shaved in the back and a man bun on top. I wore wigs for a year. Super traumatizing. Let your hair beeeee. Learn from me.
@ActorsandAccomplices Жыл бұрын
I've done this sooo many times. I don't have mania (I'm the opposite, super depressed all the time) but I find that when I'm really low I tend to just mess with my hair to no end, even though I know better lol. It's an endorphin rush, but I've had to shave my head more than once because I've damaged my hair so badly. Live and learn.
@ToniMichellee Жыл бұрын
@@ActorsandAccomplices right. And same. My hair is definitely a rush for me. I’m learning to stop messing with it so much so I don’t have to shave it for the second time. I hope you have a wonderful day love

Its also your own hair you can do what you want to it, a salon who judges someone for doing something to their own body as if they own your hair is just terrible.

@@ActorsandAccomplicesfelt this sooo hard and I’m involved in the acting community too (am guessing you are due to username). I am amazed that you got such a bright color for a black box die client! You really are a wizard when it comes to toner. Been in the beauty industry all my life and I have left several times bc of the frustration of people not wanting to help or support. I love that you share your knowledge to help bring everyone up!! It's amazing to see someone who is actually passionate about the industry!! You listen to your clients and educate them which is really important!!! I just can not say enough good things about you, as a person and a stylist. Hello from MD you definitely have a fan here.

@BobbyHairStudio it is amazing of you to put not only your strengths but your weaknesses and tough times too. So many of us find ourselves in positions where we really do not know what the best step to take is. Just knowing this is or isn't what your tried is just amazing. I stopped putting alot of my work out there bc I am my own worst critic. There is so much negativity in the industry and it's so great to see someone who speaks up and says sometimes it isn't always perfect or we do the best we can. You never know what is really walking in your chair! Unfortunately some people do lie too. I think it's more them not wanting to admit to screwing up or whatever but they need to understand the more we know the better we can help! It is just so refreshing to see your passion. I really mean it. Give yourself a huge hug for me

Great job! 👏😍 it's so crazy what you can do! When I was 13 i destroyed my hair with two times box dyes after eachother and there was only silver shampoo existing to help. This got stolen before i could use it the first time and i had to let grow out for a long time. I would just use box dye colors if they are similar to the natural color and not fully permament... The client can be very lucky she came to you! I would be interested in the price for the whole thing... 😘

I guess the man with the red beard in the back is her father (or one of your hairdressers?) He gifts his daughter such a salon visit for Christmas and stays with her during the entire appointment? Bless this man! He is the complete opposite of my father. If you see him again, please let him know that this action made a difference for the small girl in a grown up ass-kicking woman (on the outside) that was treated badly by her parents. Behaviors like his show how children can be treated and should be treated. In the past I didn’t see how badly I was treated by my parents, now, decades later these small things make me aware of it and it’s a good thing. You can just integrate and heal from things you are aware of. ❤

I am very careful with it now, except for those metal clips I tried using to hold it up, (they snap open and closed) oh man they can ruin hair. It was like having gum in it. As long as you are consistent with the color and just apply to your roots there isn’t necessarily anything wrong. It’s just hard to know know developer is included in box dye and higher developer is more damaging. Using professional color and developer is also cheaper you have many more applications
