As always Katy, you never fail to impress me!! I've been anticipating this video🙃 Orange is the enemy and must be eliminated! 🤣🤣 I know that feeling all to well! When you pulled that one side out, I was like,Oooh, I've seen that a few times in my life🤣. Thank you for showing us the toning process instead of re-bleaching, thats what I would do. And sometimes the hair is not in good enough condition to do all of that extra bleaching, so this is the perfect alternative!! Thank you for the transparency, that's what keeps me coming back! Totally relatable 🧡🧡🧡

Katy , for someone so young ( thats ment to be a compliment) you have the wisdom of someone far more experienced in this industry..... bc you have knowledge that was never taught to me ( when i did my apprentiship 34yrs ago) iv been hairdressing 34yrs ( im 48) & i learnt a shit load from this post . Never would have thought of corrective toning like you did in this. I would have done something old school. So you just blew my mind. You have a gift & im so thankful for your posts ( im from NZ )

I have this happen a lot when I do full head foiling work, I start with a low developer and then I up as we are told not to overprocess. The thing is that the hairline in the back and the top develop just fine but the inside sections stay somewhat blorange. My solution to this is to thoroughly check the lift in different sections and to apply heat when needed. Sometimes it’s also due to back sections not being highlighted for a long time so the hair is further away from the scalp heat and will not lift as easily. Anyway it’s always better to under process than over!

Seamless blend im also a hairdresser ,you done an amazing colour good to see it straight before it's curled,as we all know you can hide a multitude of sins with curls,she's a very lucky client to have you work on her,and for 1 year grow out still looked blended

In my opinion, I believe that the very warm sometimes orangey band at the top of a foil comes from either: not enough saturation or not enough insulation.

So the lightest toner is 7/8 level?? Looks so much lighter! Beautiful result!
@TheMrskhan1 Жыл бұрын
You did an amazing job! My opinion is that I don't think your first lightener mix was wrong. I think if you started with chelation or clarifying her hair for up to 10mins w/ heat, would have helped by removing any possible build up and would open up the hair cuticle. That way the lightener, regardless how low your developer was, would further lift. The power is really in the bleach. Lower and slower gets you there with less potential damage as long as the lightener stays moist until your desired lift. Love your videos. Thank you for sharing your tutorials!

So useful . Thankyou . I had similar on fine hair I expected would lift quickly . Some didn't lift high enough and were gold/ orange .can you a video on stages of lift and to rinse off - I think I went to early . I remember you said this in one of your videos - when it looks like it's done ,it just needs a bit longer.

Katy, would you do a video for doing Balayage on ourselves with a video consultation for what toner to use with it?🧖🏼♀️
@BobbyHairStudioАй бұрын
Hun I can't even balayage my own hair! It's all about angles! If you're in a pinch financially, ask a friend to help and get them to follow along a tutorial! Your own hands are going to be slower and it's going to be hard to work backwards with them

I very rarely run out of bleaching power, because usually low and slow works for me. Not 100 per cent sure if that is the issue here. Fresh bowl maybe. I usually start at 10, then 15 then finish on 20.
