Must be a beast to drive, and trust me I know about driving a forced induction beast. I wired a Philips DryCare Pro BHD274/00 (which anyone will tell you is the finest hair drier on the market) into the snorkel on my 1987 Jimny and the power and torque are almost unmanageable (especially if you remember to turn off the heat setting on the hair drier).

Oh when I blew my ranger up I should have done this instead of scrapping it. I was thinking of going a Godzilla supercharged through a auto but money was a issue.

Might be worth running it up with no air box lid on it. The coyotes love to breathe and the snorkel might be restricting it up top.

Take the airbox lid off and run it again, somtimes with the LS swaps the airbox/snorkle setups will hurt the power quite a bit

Hi Mate , think you can get a hand held tacho that could read the rpm of the super charger to see if it’s belt slip ! 250 kw is pretty sick ! He would have been better sticking a built Barra ! Would have been cheaper and easier! But good luck hope you get it working. As in other comments. It’s what Ford should have brought out with or a turbo Barra ( which would sell like hotcakes with a turbo Barra !)

The barra will not come close to fitting the engine bay. Theres a video of a px ranger with a 5.4 V8 and they had to cut some of the radiator support to squeeze it in. The barra is longer and taller than the 5.4 and the 5.0 V8s. Ive seen one PX ranger pic with a turbo barra in it, dropped in its guts. Never seen it run or heard anything more about it, so guessing its a failed attempt. But they should have engineered it for one, instead of riding the Australian wheezing diesel bandwagon.

I have seen a barra ranger. Not sure on the work involved but it does exist, its on the mainland, i Was asked to tune it for him. 🤘

There should be an update video on here. Sorted some things out and removed the intake restriction that the snorkel was creating.. made somthing just above 500kw in the end. 👌

How's the interchiller set up? It pulling timing? It bleeding boost from hot inlet temps? Plus if it's a interchiller from a certain SA company they're renowned for cracking internally

$56 big ones for the V8 conversion then the mods.... really feel for Dan!!! Also if you dyno it in Sport mode or Baja mode amd keep shifter in M it should lock the converter at lower RPM.... unless they mucked with that too?... animal of a car
