I’m in the US, we have the regular raptors and large trucks in general. People have done v8 swaps on them and it’s been cool, but it’s just been putting a truck 5.0 in another truck which is cool but not the most original thing. This swap is honestly one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while. Y’all’s ranger raptors are a lot lighter and paired that with the mustangs 5.0 is heavenly. The mustang is so at home there, a faster reving better sounding 5.0 in my opinion because of the compression ratios and cams. This whole package is badass and we need something stateside like this as it would 100% kill everything on the street and dirt.

I think a major factor of why FORD didn't pursue the 5.0 as an optional engine package is twofold, one they are still trying to meet CAFE standards in the USA, secondly, they want to push the eco-boost as the only option for both power and performance. Nothing replaces a naturally aspirated engine, the Eco boost is great, until you start to have turbo problems. I'll take the 5.0 in a heartbeat. @4x4 Australia, you should see if you can fit a 5.0 in the new BRONCO.

I'm fortunate to own 2 Rangers px1 px2,my px2 I brought from Australia,i rebuilt then crashed of the side into some bush in a kiwi sanctuary and now im in the process of rebuilding, place called kalannie is where i purchased the truck from, and my px1 from ultimate ford Here in New zealand, my px1 has a stage 3 highflow turbo,on stock ecu, with a reflash, ARP headstuds with Crow cams, with bigger injectors, With stock internals we got the old 3.2 upto 580hp with the right tune and a bit more money put into her we could have gotten up to around 650 mark plus, I changed out the maf sensor and charge pipe to stainless steel with a blow through maf, and made gains in the little areas, that I thought were detrimental, and cost wise, was more efficient an less expensive, but done right with the right research you will make that little engine roar, for me i was after more torque and some high end power for 4x4 and for me thay combo works,I will start my own channel and upload some shorts and vidz of my own builds Ford should have done this from the start, I can understand why they didn't,production purposes I believe,as like you it would have taken 2years for the research alone to match engine with truck, timing perfection, dedication, and patience, all will come together, as with me and what I'm dealing with on a lower scale
